Prologue

It is the year 2038 and the children of Taylor Volkovsky, Ivy Trailler and Addison Covan have turned 18.

The triplets Adrian the eldest the future alpha of the pack, Alex the second eldest and middle child-the true born leader of the dark angels from Ivy’s coven and Avery who was surprisingly the omega blood in the family.

Avery was very much unlike his two older siblings. While his older siblings enjoyed hunting, getting into fights and detention in school?Avery liked burrying his fave in a book or listening to calm music provided by nature when he was in the woods sketching the forest snowy view during winter fall.

His features were nothing alike his brothers. While his brothers were 6’5 inches tall,muscular with 8 pac abs and brown straight hair with eyes from Addison and Ivy?Avery had hair as white as snow,curly thick locks descended his waist, a small heart face,his mother Taylor’s bright baby blue eyes, perfectly pale skin and the brightest red lips that he got from a bad habit of biting it out of nervousness. His height was 5’9 and the shortest in the family. His voice was feminine and soft and people would mistake him for a girl if he stood afar judging from his curvious figure.

His omega status did come as a surprise from his family but none the less they loved him,his older brothers were very protective over Avery and so was the pack and coven.

Xavier Volkovsky is the eldest and only son of Flynn and Emery Volkovsky who happen to be Taylor’s brother and in laws now.

Xavier had a huge crush on Avery ever since he knew what crush was. Xavier had to be careful having a crush on Avery and showing it especially if his best friend Adrian was Avery’s older brother and the most protective one out of all.

Could they hit it off without anyone knowing. Knowing Avery was the worst liar ever and Xavier wasn’t the expert at hiding his feelings.

Avery

Its Christmas and my family are all here. My oldest brothers Alec is coming over with his mate Ashton and their baby , one of my favorite nephews. August the second eldest is coming over with Benny his kid.

My two older brothers Alec and August were adopted and they’re the oldest in our family. They own different companies as CEOs and business bachelors.

I don’t know much about the business except for they have a lot of responsibilities. Alec is 25 and August is turning 22 soon.

I’m currently in my room getting ready while my mums greet the guests who are my uncles Flynn and his mate Emery and their son Xavier who is Adrian’s best friend.

Adrian, Alex and I are triplets,they look nothing like me. They’re all muscular and tall and like to do risky things while I like to bury my nose in a book and never want to come out of my shell unless we’re with children who are my most favorite people to be around apart from my family and my interesting, peculiar novels.

I have three mums. My mummy- Taylor was the one who birthed us in the beginning. My father figures but are still my mums are Ivy and Addison. My mum Ivy and my other mum Addison are both leaders of the strongest pack in the north and the deadliest dark angels coven in our area.

I could hear my mum Ivy greeting everyone downstairs. I quickly blow dry my snowy white curly thick locks as it cascades down my waist. Another thing different about me-is that I have hair as white as snow.

I quickly patted down the light pink jumper I had on as well as my skinny jeans that hug my butt perfectly. Adrian and dad will flip when they see this.

I put on some white Jordans and put my hair in a lazy bun to the back of my head. I put on afew single bands around my fingers and put on lavender and vanilla perfume before I leave.

I’m about to open the door when I remember my book Shooting Kabul that I just got today from the mall while shopping with mummy. I put on my round contacts which makes people call me cute. I hate it,I’m not cute…..

“Avery?honey are you all ready?”, I hear mummy’s soft voice and the light knock on my door as I open the door. The curly strands of my white hair falls over my face as I smile at her and walk out holding my book and mummy’s hand in mine. My hand is smaller than hers as we descend the stairs. I see my brothers Alex and Adrian with my other cousins Drey and Travis who are all best friends since birth as well as Xavier but they’re not here yet. Uncle Flynn,Uncle Emery and Xavier walk in bringing some dished food.

Yay,trifle,my favorite desert.

Xavier put the trifle in the kitchen as we walked downstairs and greeted everyone. Adrian,Alex,Drey and Travis were outside getting the BBQ ready. Drey and Travis are my other uncles children, Uncle Kyle and his two mates Uncle Ryan and uncle Robin.

We greeted uncle Flynn,Uncle Emery and Xavier. I gave my uncles a hug before I heard my dad Addison growl.

“ Avery?go change right now young man!“, I quickly nodded not wanting to disobey my parents when they’re angry. I kissed my mums cheeks before running upstairs to change into baggy pants and a white knitted sweater.

I walked back downstairs and saw my mummy making some food in the kitchen.

Mummy and I talked about the book I was reading a while ago when I heard my nephew’s voice. Four year old Ben.

“ Aunty Avewy! “, i giggled as I picked him up. I gave him kissed all over his face.

“ Benny bear!you’ve grown so big now….and heavy too“, he giggled and kissed my cheek.

“I missed you aunty Avewy”, he hugged me. His arms tightly around my neck and I hugged him back as I heard awws from my family and Ben’s dad,my second older brother August. I gave August a hug before me and Ben went off to the living room to play. We were making bracelets for each other, best aunty and nephew bracelet. Since he loved the sea so much I put some artificial shells on his bracelets with my name and a seahorse in the middle then continued putting the shells and other sea stuff decors on the other end.

He squealed when he saw it. So cute…

“ I wove it!aunty Avewy“

I put it on him and he gave me mine. Since I loved candy and books a lot,he put them on my bracelet with a Benny in the middle and a bear next to it.

Mum-Ivy came around and took some pictures before she went off outside to take some pictures. “ Aunty Ave?can I have some milk and cookies?“, I nodded and kissed his head.

“Ok but you have to stay here ok?its really busy in the kitchen and I don’t want you getting hurt”, he nodded and played with his toys.

My oldest brothers August and Alec were talking along with uncle Flynn and Uncle Ryan,Uncle Robin and Uncle Kyle. Uncle Flynn and Uncle Emery are mates-their only child is Xavier. Uncle Kyle and Uncle Robin and Ryan are mates- their boys are Travis and Drey.

Uncle Emery was in the kitchen helping my mummy as well as Uncle Ashton. My other nephew Damien was asleep upstairs in my room awhile ago,he’s about a year old now.

My older brothers Adrian and Alex were outside doing the BBQ along with my cousins Travis,Drey,Xavier. I quickly got up and walked to the kitchen. My mummy and uncles were busy doing the food so I didn’t want to be a burden. I tried reaching on my tippy toes for the glasses in the cupboard but to no avail. I bought the kitchen ladder stool and climbed it up. I got the glasses for the milk as well as a saucer when the stool shook a bit. My eyes widen in horror before the stool split,I was waiting for my fall when strong arms wounded around me and caught me from my fall. A husky hot breath blew near my spine making me shiver.

“Are you alright?”, I nodded as Xavier put me down and checked me for injuries.

“ Are you sure you’re alright?“, I nodded still dazed. My heart was still beating rapidly.

No one noticed which I was thankful for. “Um…thank you”, I kissed his cheek before I went off to pour warm milk and some homemade ginger bread cookies for my nephew.

I gave him his milk and we continued talking about some kids show he watched. I listened attentively.

We soon gathered around and opened presents under the Christmas tree.

After dinner,it was really late but it  was rude if I went up to sleep without everyone else so I sat in the living room and read afew chapters of my new book. I couldn’t keep my eyelids open any longer so I slept on the couch.

I felt someone shaking my shoulders lightly. “ Avery?Avery?love,you need wake up and go upstairs to sleep“

I soon felt myself being carried upstairs. I sniffed his neck and it was Adrian. “Bubby,you awake?”, he whispered and I shook my head. He chuckled. He tucked me in bed,I was suddenly aware of my nephews Damien and Benny sleeping soundly. I smiled and wiggled myself out of my brothers hold and scooped my younger nephew in my arms. He lay soundly on my chest. His mop of brown hair covering his forehead as well as sticking in every direction. I replaced his thumb with a pacci as he slept on my chest.

My omega scent lulled him into a deep sleep. I wasn’t sleepy anymore and so scooped Benny closer to me as well.

I tucked the boys safely with the blanket and they were lightly snoring, obviously calm with my scent since they were on my bed,in my room. At exactly 12:00 am, Damien started crying so I picked him up and left the room careful not to wake Benny up.

I picked out Damien’s diaper bag from August’s room and quickly changed the fussy baby. I rocked him in my arms patting his back as his loud cries turned morphed from sleepiness. I quickly made him warm formulae milk chocolate and fed him. “ Sh….slow down little one,you’ll get tummy ache“, I whispered softly as I rubbed his tummy. As if understanding what I said,he slowed down and giggled making me smile.

My wolf Celestial was purring from the little pup in my arms.

“You’re really good with kids”, came a dark voice startling me.

“ Xavier?what are you doing up so late?“

“I couldn’t sle-”, his words were cut short when I heard Benny cry and a loud thud was on the floor in my room.

We quickly got upstairs seeing Benny on the floor crying softly. Xavier picked him up.

“ Hey,sh…I’m here now. Hush now cub…“, Benny quietened down immediately and snuggled close to Xavier’s neck. The pup’s wolf is calm when they feel the alpha wolf’s scent and his presence because they give them a sense of safety and security and comfort.

Xavier rocked Benny lightly and picked up my stuffed white bear on the bed and pulled it close into Benny’s arms. Benny stuck his finger in his mouth and cuddled close to Xavier with the bear in his arms. By now Damien had already finished his whole bottle.

We walked upstairs and I quickly put Damien in the middle of the bed. Benny clung to Xavier.

“Benny, Xav has to go honey”, I whispered softly but Benny shook his head.

“ Nah, Xav stay“, I sighed in defeat.

“Ok, you can sleep on the other end Xavier,the boys in the middle”, Xavier put Benny in bed and got in the covers. I got in from the right side, Damien moving towards me as soon as I lay my head down on the bed.

I held my head up on my hand  sideways as the other  hand patted Damien’s back. Xavier did the same with Benny. I found it amusing when Xav’s long legs spread out to my side touching my short legs.

Xav and I talked about a lot of things, School,he told me about his problems and his dream to being a doctor but he couldn’t pursue his dream as a doctor because he was the eldest and the throne’s true heir.

Avery

The next day,I woke up not seeing Xavier but the babies snuggling close to me. I kissed their heads before I stood up and went to the bathroom to clean up.

I had a shower, changed into a pair of light blue jeans, a white sweater. I put on roll on,perfume and some thumb moon rings to lessen the smell of my scent,according to theory, it gives the unmated males a scent like I’m in heat,apparently its intoxicating.

I put on my Jordans and blew dried my curly hair as it descended my waist.

I walked back into my room seeing Damien awake and babbling on some incoherent noises before he burst out giggling.

I picked him up,bouncing him in my arms as his eyes lit up and he hugged me tightly. “Awey…”, I heard him giggle as he nuzzled into my chest,sucking his thumb,he started sniffing my neck,my scent calming him as he cuddles into my chest.

“ Good morning Dammy. How’s my little wolf doing?good?eh“, I tickled his underarms as he giggled.

I took out his thumb from his thumb and replaced it with a pacci. He pointed at his small fluffy grey cotton blanket and I picked it up wrapping it around him.

“My baby needs a bath….”, I muttered as I took him to the bathroom but not before waking Benny.

“ Benny? Benny,cub wake up please….“, his eyes fluttered open and he hugged me close but careful not to hurt his cousin.

“Goo morwing aunty Ave….”,

“ Good morning Benny… I’m giving Dammy a bath,do you wanna join since you didn’t have a bath last night?“

“Wif bubbwes?…” He asked excitedly making me laugh and nod.

“With extra extra bubbles”, he squealed clapping his hands and so did Damien.

I held Benny’s hand and Damien in my other arm as I took the kids for their shower.

“ Thank you for taking care of the boys Avery…“,  Ashton cane up to us and took Damien from me who was busy giggling away on my iPad to notice his father.

Benny went to August who picked him up and nuzzled his pup into his arms.

Cute.

I went to the kitchen and decided I was going to make myself a hot chocolate when Adrian,Alex and Xavier entered the kitchen startling me to which I dropped my mug.

“Avery!” I heard Adrian half yelled. I bend down to pick up the pieces when a strong firm grip grabbed my wrist.

“What do you think you’re doing?…Don’t touch it”, I looked up at Adrian who easily picked me up and took me to the living room,I kicked and wiggled out of his hold but this….this…this butt-face won’t bulge.

“ Put me down…“, I didn’t realize until tears spilled down my cheeks and my hands stung. Looking at them,they were bleeding onto Adrian’s shirt.

He must’ve smelled my blood because he growled and sat me on the couch. “I told you Avery, told you not to touch and you did exactly the total opposite of what I told you NOT to do…..”, he continued scolding me until Alex slapped the back of his head.

“ You idiot, by the time you finish scolding him,he’ll run out of blood from his palms…“, I couldn’t help but giggle as I saw Adrian’s irritated look.

“I was telling him about precautions until you interrupted me…”, and from there they started a heated argument. They didn’t notice me slip from their sight with the first aid kit. I went to the kitchen. Xav had picked up all the broken shards and swept the area. I struggled with trying to open the zip with my teeth until Xavier walked over and took it from me.

“ You should be careful next time…“,I nodded as he cleaned my cut and wrapped white long cloth around my palm.

After he finished, my brothers entered the kitchen.

“Oi Xavier….that’s my baby brother buddy,and right now,I don’t like your close proximity…”, Adrian pointed between us.

“ I only bandaided his hand because you two were busy arguing…“ Xavier spoke up using his alpha tone.

“Did you just use your alpha tone with me?” I stepped back mind linking my parents to get downstairs.

I heard hurried footsteps downstairs. Thank goodness the kids and my older brothers were outside playing in the snow.

Adrian was being held back by Drey, Travis,Alex and my dad-Addison but he managed to break free from their hold on him.

Xavier was held back by his dad,My uncle Flynn, uncle Kyle,Uncle Robin,Uncle Ryan and uncle Emery but he managed to break free from their  hold on him and lunged at Adrian meeting him half way. My fingertips tingled as my wolf Celestial surfaced.

“ENOUGH!” I lost control of my wolf being pushed back to the back of my own mind. I obeyed like usual when Celestial wanted control.

My aura changed from omega immediately and my voice was authorative.

“Stop this nonsense right now!”, I felt my eyes turn bright silver as I stared at Adrian and Xav. Adrian and Xav couldn’t move and I cast them a look making them go on their knees and tilted their heads to the side in submission.

“ Good,now…clean up this mess“, I got control back and my knees gave out. My cousin Travis caught me before I hit the floor.

I heard the back doors open and my brothers who were chatting with laughter but it stopped seeing all of us.

“What did we miss…?”

Addison

I got out of my deep thoughts when I heard Ivy and Taylor walked into my office. Taylor sat on one thigh and Ivy on the other as they rested their heads on my collarbone and shoulder.

“Still thinking about what happened with Avery earlier?” I nodded at Taylor who asked.

“The prophecy of the Moon goddesses child is coming into existence. His omega status,his white hair,his purple and silver eyes when his wolf is in control. His wolf is powerful,even the Russian alpha king’s heir bow and my son. My eldest son,the future alpha of this pack,he bowed and submitted. His wolf name is like the one from the prophecy. The moon-Celestial. It all makes sense now….”, we quietened down when we heard a knock at our door.

Avery peeped in,his snowy white hair in long curls descended his small face.

“ mummy?can I sleep with you tonight?Alex put on a horror movie and I didn’t mean to peek in but I did and now I can’t sleep…“, Ivy stood up and picked up our upset pup. Avery put his head on Ivy’s neck taking in her scent. Ivy’s long  strawberry blonde hair was in a bun.

Taylor stood up and rubbed Avery’s back kissing his head and cheeks. “Don’t cry my little angel. We can all sleep together”, we left and got in bed. Taylor and Avery in the middle,with me and Ivy on each side. I wrapped my hand around my little pup as he snuggled close to Taylor’s chest.

I kissed Avery’s hair and took in my pup’s scent making my wolf purr.

After all that happened. Mummy,mum and Dad disappeared upstairs and I walked away to be alone with myself. Its not often when Celestial takes over but when she does,I cant seem to control myself,my wolf is really strong, even stronger than I am.

I must’ve been out here in the woods for longer when k hear a snap of a stick.

Im on high alert now. Shoot!I must’been farther from our border point now. I sniff the air. Garbage,sewage . . .

ROGUES!!

I take off into a sprint,I can feel and hear lots pf pairs of paws at my tail. My heart beats rapidly as I run faster. My body collapses into a tree when I’m tackled forcefully by a large Brown wolf. The rogue bites into my arms as a piercing scream leaves my lips. Tears flood my eyes as the wolf gives me a sheepish wolfie grin and bites into my stomach. My clothes feel heavy from my own blood.

Help me!

I cough up blood as I speak over the mindlink.

We’re on our way

It was my brothers and they sounded panicked. I could feel my eyes droop heavily and soon im succumbed in darkness.

Adrians pov (An hour earlier)

After my argument with Alex,I went off to see Avery. Finding him in the kitchen with my best friend,I didnt like it one bit.

“Oi Xavier,thats my baby brother you know and right now,I dont like your proximity”he only replied with a remark that shut me up.

I walked up to my room and put on some music through my airpods blasting it in my ears.

Adrian! Something’s not right!

I ignored my wolf being antsy until I felt a sharp pain on my arm and abdomen.

Its little brother!!!

He’s in danger!!

I rushed out of my room seeing Alex run out of his room at the same time.

We were both on high alert.

’ Help me’

Came the faint voice of Avery as we ran downstairs. Xavier passed by and saw the panicked look on our faces.

“Its Avery!!He needs us” Xav growled loudly and we took off. I could sense my parents and Xavs dad,Uncle Flynn as we ran through the woods.

I smelt a sweet scent of my baby brother and it seemed sweeter and purer now.

His blood.

What we saw drawed my demons rage and fury as I growled followed by the rest of my family. At least 18 rogue wolves were attacking my baby brother. Xav shifted into his large black wolf and me and Alex followed in pursuit.

What was left of Avery was his bloodied form as he coughed up blood. His clothes covered in blood.

Xav,Alex,Uncle Flynn and Uncle Robin and Ryan ran to help Avery whose heartbeat was barely thumping.

I was angry,enraged and feared for my baby brother. As me,Alex and Xav mercilessly tortured the rogues,my enraged moms Addison and Ivy showed up.

Oh shit!!!

These rogues just had to pick today. Addison was angry but Ivy,she was pissed!!!

The large brown wolf who stood a feet shorter than me and Alex looked scared.

He should be scared.

Xavier shifted and picked up Avery. I had to fight the scowl that appeared on my face. Xav turned to my moms whom nodded as Xavier ran off to where I assumed was our house.

This is where I get really scared of my mums. Unlike my birth mother Taylor who is sweet,kind and caring,Ivy and Addison they get really sadistic when something’s wrong or one of their family members are hurt. I don’t even want to know what they’ll do, I almost feel sorry for those rouges.

Xavier

My heart raced in my chest as I ran through the woods with the love of my life in my arms,almost fully clothed in his own blood.

“Stay with me Ave. Please….” I didn’t notice it but tears streamed down my face. I didn’t even notice it,that’s why I fell in love with Avery in the first place. He made me feel these sorts of emotions I thought I wasn’t capable of feeling.

My face paled when I couldn’t hear his heartbeat anymore. My legs ran faster as I burst through the front door. His birth mother upon seeing Avery,cried as she rushed down the stairs with uncle Emery and Benny.

“Xav?!whats wrong with untle Avewy?”, Ben says as he comes close to Avery.

“What happened?!” My aunt Taylor yelled as she took Avery in her arms.

“We don’t have much time aunt Tay. I have to bite him” my aunt caught on what I said and handed Avery back to me. My wolf resurfaced and my canines elongated.

I had to control myself trying so hard not to drink from him due to the sweet smell of his scent and the mouthwatering taste of his blood.

I bit into his wrist. Where ever was a pulsing point in his body which were both his wrists and his neck pulse. Avery was suppose to move around by now but he was just limp.

The only indication that he hasn’t died…yet was the soft strumming of his heartbeat,barely beating normally.

I picked up Avery and carried to his room. His room smelled so much like him. Aunt Taylor told me to wait outside and she changed Avery’s clothes. I walked in after she was done.

“Avery will be ok now Xav. He just needs to heal,luckily,you bit him earlier than intended which left him in a coma. He’s all healed up,he has scars though, You should maybe clean up your clothes” only then did I notice I was covered in Avery’s blood.

I took the quickest shower ever and got dressed before walking back to Avery’s room. I want to be here for when he wakes up. I stare at his features as he sleeps.

Its my fault he’s in a coma. If only I had bitten him on time,he wouldn’t have to be in this situation. I took a seat next to his bedside as I state at his features. His white as snow curly hair scattered by his light blue pillow. His long black eyelashes laying over his upper cheeks. His small nose,his beautiful red lips that were naturally a red color against his pale skin. He always bit his lips when he was nervous.

I held his small slender hand in mine. Although he had small hands,he had perfect long fingers and beautiful plain nails which he grew but bit them,a bad habit of his.

I kissed his palm as a tear slid down my cheek falling over his palm. “I’m so sorry…” I spoke through harsher whispers outside.

Soon,I felt really sleepy,with my head rested by his bedside,his limp warm hand in mine,I drift off to sleep.

I felt someone shaking my shoulders. “Xav?Xavier,sweetheart wake up” I opened my eyes and lean back to see the intruder of my dreams of Avery.

Papa.

“Hey…” I said,drawing out a husky tone and wiped off the small drool from the side of my stubbled cheek.

“Hi honey. Everyone’s having dinner downstairs. Addison and Ivy ask that you come down for dinner,also, your father wanted to talk to you privately…” I nodded but then scrunch my eyebrows.

“Why?” I asked. Papa only nodded at Avery. I nodded as I stood up,I kissed Avery’s head.

“Be right back…” I mumbled as I walked out.

My dad stood outside Avery’s room,his hands in his pocket. I’m the same height as dad. We share a lot of features. Same black raven hair,gray eyes, and sort of really muscular strength.

“You wanted to talk to me, dad?” He only nodded as he nudged the balcony door outside.

I followed him.

Once outside dad drew out a sigh.

“Xav,I have to talk to you about Avery…” My head shot up at his words.

“What about him?” I asked slightly angry.

“Son. Avery isn’t your true mate. I’m afraid you’re growing too attached to him,and it will be very difficult when your true mate shows up” I didn’t register what I did until I felt my fist collide with his jaw.

No one will come between my love for Avery,not even the fucking moon goddess and her fucking mating bonds.

Two

days

later

…..

I woken up to an abrupt beeping noise as I groaned only to be shocked as my voice was really muffled.

Where am I? I looked around familiarizing myself to my bedroom.

I saw a mop of curly black locks on top of my hand, only realizing it as Xavier from his alpha scent.

I go to sit up and he abruptly gets up from where his head lay on the bed.

He stares at me. “You’re awake” he says and I go to speak but end up coughing dryly. He gets a bottle of water and a straw as he holds it for me to drink.

I moan around the straw at the taste of water. God I missed the water. I continued drinking as I felt my throat getting better.

I moved my head away as I felt full.

“Where is everybody?” I asked as he stood up,

“I’ll send them in” he says and was about to leave when I grab his wrist.

“Thank you. For staying with me” I told him as he nodded leaning down as he pecked my forehead.

“Anything for you Avery” he says leaving. I blushed at what he said and he leaves.

A few seconds later, my parents, my brothers and basically my extended family tumbled into my room.

“Avewy!”  Ben yelled and ran towards me. I picked him up, ignoring the pain in my abdomen.

“ I misses you Aunty Ave“ he pouted making me giggle.

“I missed you too Benny. Where’s Dammy?” I asked as I felt like I couldn’t take the pain anymore.

“Ben, can you please sit on the chair?” I asked as he nodded getting off top me.

My mummy gasped seeing the bedsheets stained with blood over my abdomen area.
