Chapter 1
I was once again in Dr. Jones office…for the fifth time in 7 months. I took a deep breath as I looked up at the ceiling, relaxing my body on the plush grey couch. The office was bright, and decorated in shades of black, white, and grey. There were large windows that stretched from the floor to the ceiling, displaying a pristine view of Langley below.
I watched as Dr. Jones as she pulled out her notepad, reading glasses, and pen like she usually does. She was an older woman, and has been with the Agency as their designated mental health evaluator for almost 25 years. Her long black hair was always pulled back in a bun tight enough to pull up the slightly sagging skin on her forehead. She was an uptight woman, and followed every procedure, rule, and regulation to a T. She was always dressed professionally, wearing a neutral colored pants suit everyday, just like everyone else in the agency.
“How did those mandated anger management classes go?” She asked with a straight face and a bored tone. In the 5 years I’ve known her, I’ve never seen her smile once.
I beat the shit out of the instructor and held him at gun point until he signed my release forms, then threatened his life if he spoke a word of what happened to anyone.
“They went great, helped me out a lot.” I said as I continued to look up at the ceiling. I stretched out my arms in front of me, and placed them behind my head while I crossed my feet.
“Wonderful. And how’s the depression? Are you seeing any side effects with the medication I prescribed?” She asked as she raised her eyebrow at me.
I flushed those fucking pills down the toilet the day you fucking gave them to me.
“No, everything seems fine. Better even.” I said as I gave her a fake smile.
“Good to hear that.” Dr. Jones said as she reached over and grabbed a file that was laying on a side table right next to her. She opened it before putting on her thick reading glasses.
“So what happened this time?” She said as she continued to look down at the file.
“Why do you need me to tell you? You’re reading the report right now.” I scoffed in annoyance.
“I need to hear it from your perspective. You’ve been in here enough, you should know the procedure by now.” She said as she looked up from the file and glared at me.
I shot the fucker because I didn’t feel like running after him. Cardio’s not really my thing.
“My partner and I were sent to question Mario Ortez, the main suspect who we believe had ties with the European Mafia. As soon as we knocked on the door, he opened it, shot him, and tried to run. He took out his cell phone as he turned his head, I though it was a weapon, and I engaged.” I lied smoothly.
I knew it was a fucking phone. There’s no way I could ever mistake a cellular device for a weapon, but for some reason, that excuse was believable enough to get me out of this mental interrogation.
“He was shot in the back of the head, killing him instantly.” She read from the file as she raised her eyebrow, her eyes still locked on the folder in front of her.
Because that’s exactly where I wanted to shoot him you fucking idiot.
“I was aiming for his arm, hoping that it would slow him down enough until we catch up to him. He moved at the last second, and instead of hitting his arm, it hit his head.” I said, making sure to add a bit of regret into my tone to make it believable. Dr. Jones closed the file and put it back on her desk. She positioned her notebook on her lap as she crossed her legs and looked at me.
“So how did you feel when you killed him?” The boring and dull therapist said as she tilted her head slightly as she tapped the top of her pen against her chin gently.
Fucking amazing. Thrilled. Exuberant. Alive. He’s a criminal, what else am I suposto feel?
“Horrible. I would take it back if I could.” I lied smoothly as I furrowed my eyebrows, giving her the impression that I was remorseful. She scribbled down something on her light pink notepad. The office was uncomfortably silent, her pen writing against the paper was the only sound to pierce the tension.
“Do you feel that you have an urge to kill?” Dr. Jones asked as she scribbled down something on her light pink notepad. The office was uncomfortably silence, her pen writing against the paper was the only sound to pierce the tension.
Every second of every fucking day.
“No. Only when I feel threatened.” I lied again, which made Dr. Jones write something else on her notepad.
“I feel awful, and I felt even worse when I found out he had a family. I haven’t been able to sleep, to eat, to function. I didn’t mean to kill him, it was a mistake, a lapse in my judgement.” I said as I sat up and threw my legs over and onto the floor in front of me.
Lies. I almost over slept for this damn meeting from eating too much Chinese food last night.
Dr. Jones looked at me for a moment before she sighed and took her glasses off and placed them on top of the file resting on the side table to her left.
“Blaire, you have an IQ of 220 when the average is 85. You’re the best in your field in hand to hand combat, weapon speciality, and intel gathering. You’re one of the best agents the CIA has ever seen, but you’ve also been sent into my office more than any officer in CIA history. I know you regret it, but if I see you here one more time for killing on the job, I’ll be forced to request the director to revoke your badge.” She said seriously as she glared at me.
“Understood.” I said as I nodded at her.
“You’re free to go.” She said scribbling something else onto the notepad in front of her. She ripped it out with one quick motion and held it out to me. I stood up, walked towards her and gently took it from her hand.
“Bring that to Director Hobs, you’re cleared.” She said as she glared up at me.
“Thank you Dr. Jones.” I said before I quickly walked out of her bland office and made my way to see Director Hobbs.
Dr. Jones is an idiot, and I’ve always used my knowledge from my Masters in Psychology to play her like a violin. With my background in psychology and a little introspection, I discovered in college that I displayed all the symptoms of a modern day psychopath.
Pathological
lying

manipulation : Not everyone needs to know the full truth all the damn time. And manipulation? That’s just a term for people who are smart enough to get what they want from other.

Impulsive : More like being decisive.
When you look at it like that, everyone should be classified as a god damn psychopath.
When I reached the dark wooden door labeled “Edward Hobbs”, I knocked on it three times with the back of my hand before just walking in.
Hobbs was an older man, his black hair decorated with specks of white. He was always freshly shaven, and always had on a grey or black suit, a white collared shirt, and a red tie. He has a wide nose, and a narrow jawline. His office was decorated just like everyone else, dull and colorless. He was sitting in a leather chair behind his desk, looking down at the files scattered messily across his desk with his thick eyebrows furrowed.
I walked over and threw my release papers onto the desk, covering the file he was looking at and causing his brown eyes to look up at me with his eyebrow raised in curiosity.
“Dr. Jones sends her regards.” I said as I smirked at him before sitting down in the uncomfortable chair in front of his desk and crossed my legs.
“I see you’re still refusing to comply with the dress code.” He said as he sat back in his chair and looked at my outfit with an emotionless face.
I looked down at my usual outfit: a grey tank top, black skinny jeans, combat boots, and a leather jacket. My long black hair was straight, and draping past my shoulders. I wore multiple silver rings on my fingers, which apparently, was also against this dictatorship they call a dress code.
“Pants suits were never really my thing.” I said as I shrugged at him before crossing my arms in front of my chest.
“Lennon, I don’t know how many times I have to go over this with you.” He said as he rested his elbows on the table and started to rub his temples in annoyance.
“Hobb, have you ever had to pursue a criminal in a pant suit and heels? The dress code interferes with my ability to do my job properly, I don’t know how many times I have to go over this with you.” I said tilting my head at him and raising my eyebrow sassily.
“Lennon, you are on thin fucking ice. I can’t keep saving your ass every time you feel like being trigger happy. The department is getting real sick and tired of making up stories for the news.” He said as he leaned back in his chair.
“If they’re so sick and tired of making up stories, then why don’t they just tell America the truth?” I said with an edge in my voice. The CIA has covered up dozens, if not hundreds of crimes and events from the public.
“If the citizens knew what was really happening, we would be shut down. Especially if they discover that our best agent can’t keep her finger off the fucking trigger.” He growled at me.
“I’m gonna give you one more shot to redeem yourself, Lennon. You fail this mission, don’t even bother coming back to the agency.” Hobbs said seriously before grabbing the file he was looking at and tossing it onto my lap.
I opened it curiously to see all of the documents and records we had on the European Mafia, the largest Mafia organized crime has ever seen. On the front page was all of the information we’ve gathered on Ryder Calderon over the years. He took over the organization 4 years ago after his father died. According to rumors on the street, he was the more merciless, cold blooded, and lethal than his father was, and no one has ever seen his face before.
“You want me to go after Calderon? You’re already setting me up for fucking failure, Hobbs.” I growled in annoyance as I continued to flip through the information in the file.
“You’re going to do more than just go after Calderon. You’re going undercover in the European Mafia. Your mission is to gather as much intel as you can, and destroy the organization from the inside out.” Hobbs said as he leaned back in his chair and glared at me. His elbows were on the arm rests, and his hands were held up near his chest, his fingers were straight and pressing against each other.
“You want one person, to take down the largest Mafia in the world. This isn’t a mission, this is fucking suicide. Who authorized this?” I said in anger as I stood up quickly and tossed the file back onto Hobbs desk.
“The president.” Hobbs said seriously as my eyes slightly widened.
“It’s either you accept the mission, or the agency takes your badge. Your choice Lennon.” He said in a deadly tone as he glared at me. Our eyes were locked, both staring each other down as tension filled the room. My jaw clenched in anger, as I contemplated my options.
As much as I hated the rules, regulations, and procedures that came along with working for the CIA, I loved my job. I loved seeing the fear in a criminals eyes as they saw my badge. I loved the power that came along with the position. I loved the thrill of the chase, raids, arrests, and pursuits. I felt like I finally had a chance to bring justice to those who corrupt the world, to make the rules and law actually work for the benefit of others. It’s as if I spent my entire life preparing me to be here, and Hobbs is about to rip that away from me.
“Where am I going?” I asked as I balled my hands into fists at my side.
“London.” He stated as he continued to glare at me.
“When do I leave?” I said with an edge in my voice.
“Tomorrow morning.” He said as he smirked.
Fucking lovely.
Chapter 2
I put the keys into the locks of my shitty apartment and turned it. I went to push open the door, but the shitty piece of wood was jammed per usual. I leaned back before I slammed my shoulder into the door, forcing it open and sending me stumbling inside.
I threw my backpack onto the cracked countertop, and unzipped the front pocket. I grabbed the pack of American Spirits and a lighter before opening up the main pocket to grab the file from Hobbs.
I walked over to my living room, and flopped down on the old black leather couch. I tossed the file onto the small wooden coffee table, and brought the cigarette to my mouth. I lit it and took a deep breath, inhaling the smoke into my lungs. I exhaled as I carelessly tossed the lighter onto the table.
I looked around at my old, rundown, and shitty apartment. For one of the best agents in the damn CIA, they should really fucking pay me more.
I looked down at the file resting on my coffee table, and started to seriously think through Hobbs proposal. I always felt out of place in the CIA. Their love for rules, dullness, and regulations always made me nauseous. But part of me loved it. I loved the action, the thrill, the chase, putting criminals behind bars knowing that I was the last face they saw before being locked up until death takes them. Putting criminals away gave my life purpose and meaning, to live in the service of the public and my country.
From a psychology perspective, I grew up with a dark and troubled past, which was the underlying cause for my depression and anger management issues. I started studying criminal law because of unspeakable things that have happened to my in my adolescence, and made a vow to myself that I will spend my life fighting for justice, to make sure that the worst criminals get the punishment they so rightfully deserve: either spending each and everyday behind bars, or death by my weapon.
I grabbed the file from the cheap coffee table as I bit the cigarette between my teeth. I closed my lips and inhaled as I opened the file with both hands, exhaling while still holding the cigarette between my teeth.
The first page was fucking useless, just vague information on the mysterious and infamous Ryder Calderon. No medical records, no previous convictions, no personal information, not even a damn school record. It’s as if this guy didn’t even exist. The only reason we suspected that he was the Don was because every suspect we apprehended that had ties with the European Mafia would always beg for us to kill them, saying that death would be nothing compared to the wrath of Ryder Calderon.
I flipped over to the next page to see a list of names, and a distant picture of man with sunglasses on, and a hat covering his faces. Matteo Black, the man who we assume was the Capo, and right hand to the Don of the organization. This blurry and low resolution from a street camera is all we got on him. Like Ryder, no information was listed.
Underneath his picture was another picture of a man, who’s face was covered in scars. This was supposedly ran most of Ryders operations, James Brovonski. He had a scowl on his lips, and a toothpick held between his teeth. He looked to be in his mid to late twenties. He was tall, probably around 6’0 or higher, and was so muscular that his clothes clung tightly to his skin. James was defiantly a man not to mess with.
I flipped over another page to see lists of the crimes they were suspected to be involved in: Murder, Drug Distribution, Sex Trafficking, Arms Dealing, and Assassinations. They were all over Europe, striking fear in the hearts of citizens for decades. I’d assumed they had legal business to cover these up, legal businesses that we have yet to uncover.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I flipped through the case reports, my eyes scanning the pictures of lifeless and mutilated bodies that were left in the wake of the European Mafia. They were merciless, calculated, and fearless, some of their hits on rival Mafias were even in broad daylight. Nervousness filled my body as I scanned over the pictures. Even though I’m the best agent in the CIA, this mission was impossible.
I closed the file and took another long drag of my cigarette as I tossed the manila folder back onto the coffee table. I grabbed the remote for my cheap shitty television, and clicked the power button with my thumb, trying to take my mind off of the impossible mission at hand as I leaned back onto the cushion of the couch.
“BREAKING NEWS: A coffee shop in London exploded today, killing at least 15 people.” The female news reporter said through the speakers. Behind her was a destroyed coffee shop. The windows were blown out, the brick walls were crumbling, and debris was scattered throughout the street. Police tape lined the front of the building, and firefighters were working to quickly extinguish the remaining flames of the explosion. I quickly changed the channel, trying to ease my mind, as I watched the television flash with static before switching to another news report.
“We believe that this incident was yet another strategic attack executed by none other than the European Mafia-” A male news reporter from another station said as he talked into his microphone and stood in front of the destroyed coffee shop. I furrowed my eyebrows as I quickly changed the channel again.
“Police, yet again, found no evidence on the scene.” Another male newscaster said as he stood at a different angle in front of the same coffee shop. I growled in annoyance as I flipped the channel once again.
“15 are dead, and 3 are in critical condition-” A female newscaster said as a picture of the demolished coffee shop was displayed on the top right corner of the screen. I took a drag of my cigarette and scowled as I flipped through the channels quickly, trying to find something else to watch besides the fucking news.
“The European Mafia-”
“Dozens of attacks throughout Europe over the past few months”
“Hundreds have been killed during their rampage-”
“Police are dumbfounded-”
I growled loudly in annoyance as I threw the remote across the room. It hit the shitty wall and shattered, causing the TV to switch channels one more time before the pieces of the remote fell onto the cheap carpet.
“Which begs the question: How is our governments going to respond to these attacks? How is our government going to protect us?” A man said on the screen as he motioned dramatically with his hands.
Apparently, the government sent me to protect you all… so you’re all pretty much shit out of luck. Sorry.
I walked over to the television and turned if off manually, filling the apartment with some much needed silence once again. I walked over to my room. It was barren, with nothing but a queen bed that sat on low on the floor, and a desk that sat in the right hand corner. The black bedsheets contrasted with the white walls and cream colored carpet. There was a large window that sat on the left side of the room, with an unpleasant view of concrete buildings and the busy street below. Sirens wailed in the distance, making the faint echo fill my apartment.
I walked over to the cheap wooden desk in the corner, and looked up at the only thing that adorned my empty walls: the oath I took when I became a CIA agent. I looked up at it for a moment, the moonlight reflecting off the glass of the piece of paper I signed and vowed to live by. I looked down at my belt, and took my gold CIA badge in my hand and looked down at it.
Towards the top of the badge, was an eagle with its wings spread. Underneath it, was the letters “CIA” engraved on a stretch of blue metal. The circular CIA logo was directly in the middle, with “U” and “S” on the left and right of it. “SPECIAL AGENT” was engraved across the bottom, with the numbers “525” on the very bottom of the badge, my agent number.
As I looked down at the badge, I realized that I made an oath, not just to the agency, or my country, but to myself many years ago. To bring the lawless to justice. To protect those who could not protect themselves. To make sure those who commit crimes were held accountable for their actions. I clenched the badge tightly in my hand before looking up at the oath that hung on the wall.
I’m going to bring down the European Mafia, if it’s the last thing I fucking do.
Chapter 3
“So what’s the plan?” I said loudly, practically yelling over to roar of the jet engine a few hundred feet away as I walked along side Hobbs on the tarmac of the private airport, putting on my aviator RayBans while I held a burning cigarette between my teeth.
The sun was shining down, heating up the pavement beneath my feet. The CIA’s private airstrip was massive, and had hangers containing some of the most high tech military aircrafts in the world. We were walking towards a Gulfstream G550, a massive private jet that was shimmering under the bright sunlight. It was all black, and had a grey stripe traveling across the middle of the plane underneath the windows. It was unnumbered, and unidentifiable by civilians. A large door was open, and had a set of stairs with handrails that went down until they reached the pavement of the tarmac, allowing me access to the plane.
Like always, Hobbs was dressed in a pristine and pressed black suit and a red tie, while I was in my usual leather jacket, grey tank top, black skinny jeans, and combat boots.
“You’ll be going under cover as Blaze Simmons. We kept your history similar, so it would be easier for you to remember except we changed where you grew up. Instead of California, you’ll be from Manhattan, New York. Everything else should be similar, you lost your parents in a car accident when you were 10, lived with some foster parents who owned a martial arts studio in Brooklyn, they were murdered when you were 18, graduated from Dumont high school when you were 15, Masters in Psychology from the Dartmouth instead of Stanford, obviously leaving out the fact that you have your degree in criminal justice. You’ve been living in Richmond, Virginia as a behavioral therapist for the past 5 years. We put you in the system, so if they search you, that’s what they’ll find, along with your previous criminal record.” Hobbs yelled as he walked next to me with his hands in his pockets and thick sunglasses covering his face.
“I thought those charges were expunged? That was one of the deals when you recruited me for the CIA?” I yelled at him with my eyebrows furrowed as I memorized all of the minor changes he made to my record.
“We added them into your fake identification to earn you some more credibility with the Mafia.” He exclaimed over the loud turbines from the jet engine.
“Got it.” I exclaimed in annoyance. “How am I going to contact you?” I asked as I took another drag of my cigarette, my hand shoved in the pocket of my leather jacket.
“With this.” Hobbs said as he held out a journal and a recorder the size of a bean. “That recorder fits in your ear. Even if they search you, it should remain undetected. Use it to record conversations, and get the evidence that you need. Whatever you write in this journal, I’ll be able to see at headquarters.” Hobbs said as I reached out and grabbed the items.
“How fancy.” I said with boredom in my tone, mentally laughing at the lack of resources I was given for such a big mission.
“You’ll be going to a bar that is known to be on their turf. London is one of their main hubs for sex trafficking. You’ll be taken, and then you’ll figure it out from there.” Hobbs yelled with a calm tone.
Wait… sex trafficking? You’ve got to fucking kidding me.
“So you want me to be a whore for the Mafia? Yeah… no. That isn’t in my job description Hobbs!” I said defensively as I stopped walking and stared at him with a scowl as anger flooded through me.
“Then you better figure something out after they take you.” He said coldly as he stopped walking and faced me, his hands still in his pockets with an unemotional expression on his face before he turned around and continued to walk up to the jet.
“Fucker.” I mumbled underneath my breath as I flipped him off behind his back and took a drag of my cigarette, quickening my pace to catch up with him.
“Lennon, this is a classified mission mandated by the government. That means if you see any cops or agents, they will not know you’re undercover nor will the agency recognize this mission. They will engage if needed.” Hobbs explained in a deadly tone.
“So basically if I fuck up, the American government will deny any affiliation with their involvement.” I said as I popped the recorder in my ear.
“We’re breaking our jurisdiction by operating on foreign soils. They’d say you went rogue.” He nodded as he continued to look forward towards the jet.
“So don’t fuck this up. Got it.” I said loudly as we reached the bottom of the steps to the jet. I turned and dropped my cigarette on the tarmac before stepping on it and twisting my foot.
“Good luck Agent Lennon, and remember, try not to kill anyone.” Hobbs said as he held out his hand to me, his back straight and his posture tense per usual.
“No promises.” I said coldly as I took his hand in mine and shook it firmly, before walking up the black steps to the private jet. My hands grazed the cold railing as I entered the plane.
The interior of the plane was lavish. The large and plush seats all had a black table in front of them that was attached to the wall. The windows were large, and there was a couch towards the back of the plane. I scoffed as I looked around the expensive and pristine plane, silently laughing at the irony that this was all funded by American tax payers.
I walked towards the back of the plane and took my seat. I looked out the window to see Hobbs quickly walking away from the tarmac, his hands shoved in his pockets and his hair was flowing in the wind as the jet started to slowly rotate and face the proper direction for take off on the runway.
I watched as Langley started to fade off into the distance, and the jet started to leave the ground. I sighed as I watched as the place I’ve called home for five years started to disappear off into the distance. I thought that I’d feel sad, leaving indefinitely until my mission is completed. It could take weeks, months, years, even decades until I’m able to come back.
But instead, I felt nothing. Nothing at fucking all. I leaned back in my seat, and closed my eyes deciding to get a decent nap in before I get fucking kidnapped.
Chapter 4
I walked out of the taxi cab, fidgeting in the short black dress I was wearing, before grabbing my small purse and closing the door behind me. My heels clinked against the damp London streets as I spotted the bar that Hobbs was mentioning.
The only thing I packed for this mission was this itchy and annoying dress, and these god awful stilettos, an unwelcome change from the skinny jeans and combat boots I’ve come to love. I was thankful that I still wore my leather jacket when a chill breeze swept through the wind, making a shiver travel up my spine.
The dress I wore was an expensive spaghetti strap dress that ended at my upper thighs. It was tight, and hugged my figure, accentuating my curvy waist and plump ass. The agency provided e this dress, and I scowled and mentally cursed those perverted fuckers for choosing this horrid dress. I started walking towards the bar as I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to keep warm as another breeze swept through me.
How do women wear these torture contraptions they call heels?
I feel like my ankles are going to fucking snap off.
And this dress, god good.
Even if it’s Dior, this fucking sucks.
I gripped the handle of the metal bar door, and quickly opened it and walked inside the bustling bar. The inside of the facility was dim, and was barely lit by the red florescent lights that lined the ceiling. There were black leather couches against the walls, a glass and modern table in front of each piece of furniture. I watched as the patrons drank out of martini classes and tumblers while dining on expensive appetizers. The bar top was made of glass, and a red hue emitted from underneath it. The bar stools were tall, and modern, with a backrest on each of them with a plush seat. It wasn’t very packed tonight, and I could easily walk around without bumping into anyone.
My eyes scanned the room, looking for anyone suspicious that could be affiliated with the European Mafia. I decided to go to the bar, and try my luck there. My heels clinked against the stone floor, until I finally made my way to the end of the bar, the seat that had the couches to the left of me, and the bar to the right of me. I sat down and leaned my elbows on the counter and arched my back seductively, as if I’m begging to be kidnapped and sold into sex trafficking…well because I am.
“What can I get you pretty lady?” The bartender asked, his english accent dripping off of his every word. He was younger, and had a boyish look to him. His brown shaggy hair and almond shaped eyes only added to his childlike appearance.
“Whiskey neat, please.” I said as I gave him a small smile.
“Ahhh. Is that an American accent I hear?” He said as he smirked at me and started to grab a bottle from underneath the counter.
“It is.” I said as I nodded slightly.
“So what’s a beautiful American girl like you doing in London?” He asked as he looked down and started to pour the liquor into a tumblr.
“I’m on a much needed vacation.” I lied as I smiled and leaned forward slightly. I was use to being undercover before, so lying didn’t bother me. Come to think of it, it never really has before.
“With some friends? Family?” The nosey bartender asked as he handed me my drink. I took it in my hands and took a large gulp of it.
“My family died when I was 18, and ever since then, I’ve always liked being alone.” I said as I smiled and took another drink. The smile on his face dropped when he heard this, and he leaned against the countertop, inching his face closer to mine.
“I’m gonna tell you this because you seem like a nice girl. You should probably leave, and don’t come back on this side of town again.” He whispered urgently and quickly as he looked around suspiciously.
“Why’s that? I heard this was one of the best bars in London?” I said innocently as I tilted my head in curiosity, acting as oblivious as I can.
“It is one of the best bars in London, you picked a good spot.” A thick Russian accent called out from beside me as I heard someone take the seat next to me. I turned my head to see one of the men on the files: James Brovonski, the man who was suspected to run Calderon’s operations.
Of course it had to be the most fucking intimidating one. Lucky. Fucking. Me.
“Bartender, go fetch her another drink will you? On me.” He said as he glared at the bartender. The man behind the bar shook his head once before quickly making another drink.
“That’s very kind of you Mr…” I said as I raised my eyebrow at him curiously.
“Smith. James Smith.” The fucker lied as he smiled a devious smile at me. The scars that lined his face were prominent underneath the red florescent lights. His brown eyes looked almost black, and his hair was shaggy and untamed. Tattoos covered his body up to his neck, and his tall and muscular appearance just made him look that much more deadly.
“Well nice to make your acquaintance Mr. Smith.” I said smoothly. The bartender gave me a look of pity before sliding the drink over to me, and one to James, before quickly walking away with his head down.
“And who might you be?” He asked as he grabbed the drink in front of him and downed it in one go.
“Blaze. Blaze Simmons. Nice to meet you.” I said as I smiled and held out my hand. He grabbed it and flipped it over, so my palm was rested against his.
“A beautiful name for a beautiful woman.” He said as he kissed the back of my hand, making my skin crawl. I covered up the uneasiness I felt inside of me with a small smile, and fought back the urge to break his hand.
“Fancy accent you got there. Where are you from?” I asked, trying to get as much information from him as I could.
“Moscow. The greatest city in the world.” He said as he smiled and grabbed his drink.
“What brings you to London Mr. Smith?” I asked as I took a sip of my drink and looked behind him to see two men staring right at us. They were both in suits, and had tattoos on their hands and serious expressions on their faces. Based off of how intently they were watching us, those must be his henchmen, considering Mafia members are too scared to go out alone… pussies.
“Business, and some pleasure.” James said as he looked over at me with an evil smirk.
“Looks like we have that in common.” I whispered as I finished my drink and pushed off the bar top. They just need to hurry the hell up and kidnap me already, all this small talk is getting on my damn nerves.
“Thank you again for the drink, Mr. Smith.” I said before standing up and walking away, Jame’s eyes locked on me the entire time as well as the men standing in the corner. I reached the door and looked back one last time, surprised to see that the stool that James was sitting on was now vacant. I glanced at the bartender who slightly shook his head at me while his eyes were wide, as if warning me not to leave the bar. I gave him a quick smile, and grabbed the door handle. He immediately bent down and I saw him quickly grab his phone before I turned around and walked out of the door.
I walked slowly along the sidewalk of the barren street. The pavement was damp from the recent rain, and the street lights were dim. I looked around for the most convenient place for someone to conduct a kidnapping, and saw an alleyway a few feet away from me. I stood by the entrance of the dark ally, and pulled out a cigarette from my purse.
I held the cigarette between my teeth, and lit it as I leaned against the brick wall. I grabbed the cigarette between my fingers, and exhaled deeply as I waited patiently for my abductors to arrive. It was rather rude that they were making me wait this long.
As if one cue, a black SUV pulled up in front of me, skidding to a stop. I felt a prick on my neck as I turned my head slightly. I saw James pull out a syringe from my neck, and I felt my body start to go numb from the drug he injected me with. He wrapped an arm around my waist and dragged me to the car while I tried struggle a bit, just so they wouldn’t get suspicious. He tossed me in the backseat before threw a bag over my head.
And within a few seconds…I drifted off into unconsciousness, hearing the roar of the engine fade away into nothingness.
Well… mission accomplished I guess.
Chapter 5
“Man

“She’s

“I
wonder
how
much

for?“
I heard voices echoing in my head as my consciousness slowly started to return. I opened my eyes, blinking rapidly to adjust to the environment. When I finally opened my eyes and my vision cleared, I saw that I was in a very tiny, dark room, laying on the floor. There was a single lighting fixture that hung from the ceiling by a chain. The cement floor was cold against my skin, indicating that I haven’t been here long. The walls were also made of cement, with large stains adorning it. Stains that I immediately recognized as blood.
James was leaning against the wall, watching me. Standing next to him were the men I recognized from the bar. They were standing in the corner of the room, one had his arms crossed in front of his chest, while the other was smoking a cigarette. Both of them had their eyes glued on me. The metal door behind them was shut, and most likely locked. I sat up quickly to see that my hands were bound, and I was still wearing that god awful Dior dress and heels.
“Hello darling.” James said as he smiled wickedly at me.
“Fuck you!” I scoffed in annoyance, making the men look at me with surprised expressions on their faces. James looked at me with his eyebrow raised in curiosity as he tilted his head to the left slightly.
Whoops . I’m
suposto
be
an
innocent
girl
on
vacation . Let’s
try
this
again .
“Where am I!? Where the hell did you take me?!” I said frantically as I looked around the room making sure to add fear in my voice to make it believable.
It appeared to have worked, because the surprised expressions on the mens faces now turned into cocky smiles as they looked at me fidget on the floor… fucking idiots.
“Aww no need to be scared now darling.” James said as he walked over to me slowly. The cocky grin on his face made me want to snap his neck right here and right now, but I had to play my part until I could figure out a better plan to get into the Mafia. I scooted away on the floor, until the cold cement of the wall hit my back.
“Who the fuck are you? Why am I here?” I screamed as I faked tears. I was an incredibly good liar my whole life, and I was thankful I learned how to cry on command back when I was a child… my parents would always give me whatever I wanted when I started crying, so needless to say, I learned pretty quickly.
“Stop crying. We have a showing in twenty minutes, and we need you looking your best for the buyers.” James said as he grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me up so I was standing on my feet. One of the other men in the corner turned around and opened the door before both of them walked out into what appears to be a hallway.
Buyers?
So
I
must
be
in
the
right
place . Thank
God .
Due to my heels, I stumbled as James dragged me towards the door. He paused for a moment before looking back at me with his eyebrow raised. His eyes scanned me up and down, making me feel so disgusted that I bit my cheek in order to prevent me from vomiting on him.
“You won’t be needing this.” He said as he quickly turned around and grabbed the neckline of my dress. He ripped it in one quick motion, and the flimsy material of my dress fell to the floor, leaving me in only my underwear. Jame’s eyes stayed glued onto my chest, where my plump and full breasts were covered by a white lace bra.
“Blaze, was it?” James said as he continued to stare at me as he licked his lips. I noticed that the other two men in the hallway were now focused on me as well, with their eyebrows raised and their eyes wandering.
“Y-Yes.” I whispered as I pretended to be scared.
“Are you a virgin?” James asked me as his eyes met mine, I saw his pupils dilate with lust as I felt my stomach drop and my hands start to sweat.
“What?” I asked in a surprised tone. I knew how their operations ran. The more innocent and untouched the woman is, the higher the price they could sell her for. James didn’t like my response, and he tightly gripped my neck and slammed me against the wall, knocking the wind out of me.
“Answer the question.” He growled as his hold around my neck tightened.
“N-No.” I managed to breath out.
“How many men have you fucked?” He asked again as he tilted his head.
“O-O-One.” I said as I struggled to breath. He looked over at his men and nodded at them with a smile, and they walked back into the room and closed the door behind them.
“Then I’m sure our buyers won’t mind if we fucked you before the auction.” He said as he smiled evilly and grabbed my breast with his free hand. I gasped in shock as his hand started to pull down my lace bra, revealing my nipple as the other men behind him started to fumble with their belt buckles as they looked at me with smiles plastered on their faces.
A flood of unwanted memories started to overtake me, and I started breathing heavily as I tried to process what was happening to me. I started to squirm under his hold, causing his grip around my neck to tighten even further as he choked me. My heart started beating rapidly as I began to fight back with more force. His other hand started to trail down my body as the men behind them started to drop their pants.
Fuck
this
mission . Fuck
these
assholes . Fuck
this
shit .
James hand reached the waistband of my white panties, before I was completely and utterly consumed with absolute rage and fury. I kneed him in the balls as hard as I could, causing him to hunch over slightly and release the grip he had on my neck.
While he was hunched over I brought my leg back up and my knee connected with his nose. I heard a satisfying crack of his bone breaking. His screams brought a smile to my face, as I felt every bit of self control I had slipping away. With my hands still bound, I ran past him and ran towards the corner of the room where the other two men were. They quickly started to pull up their pants as I stepped onto the corner of the wall and pushed off, giving me the height boost and the spin I needed to kick one of them in the face. My shin made contact with the side of his head, and I continued to spin until I landed on the ground, facing them. He fell to the floor with a loud thud while James was in the corner holding his nose as the other man ran towards me.
He threw a right hook at me, and I hunched my back forward, dodging his punch. I rotated my hips and kicked him in the ribs before I bent my knee and extended my leg again to kick him in the side of the head while keeping my leg up in the air. I ran up to the wall again and pushed off to give me a height boost. I tucked my knees to my chest at the same time I swung my bound wrist under my feet, bringing my tied hands in front of me again. James ran up behind me, and wrapped his arms around my waist tightly. I quickly head butted him with the back of my head, and brought my bound hands up, grabbing him by his shaggy hair before I hunched my back forward and threw him over my back and into the cement wall.
The other men came towards me and tried to throw a punch at me, but I opened my elbows, and caught his wrist between my arms. I twisted my arms to the right as I brought my hands down, causing his shoulder to pop out of its socket. I kneed him in the face, knocking him out.
James ran towards me, and I once again ran up to the wall beside me and pushed off. I brought both of my arms above my head and elbowed him in the forehead with all of my force, cracking his skull open and making him fall to the floor unconscious.
The last guard came running towards me, and I quickly kicked the front of his knee, making another snap fill the air. He fell to his knees in pain, and I maneuvered so I was standing behind him. I heard the door open, but I didn’t give a damn at this point. The only thing that I felt was anger, soul consuming and blood boiling rage.
With my hands still tied, I moved my arms so that I was grabbing the left side of his chin. I brought a leg up, and placed my foot on his left shoulder. I twisted his head to the left while I kicked his shoulder. The sound of his neck snapping filled the air as I watched the fuckers lifeless body fall to the floor. I looked down at my white lingerie to see that it was covered with splotches of blood, painting it crimson. My breathing was sporadic from the fight, and I looked up slowly to see three men standing by the now kicked down door, with their guns aimed at me.
Two of the men were looking at me with curious and bewildered expression as the third had an unreadable look on his face. He was muscular, more muscular than James. He had black hair that was styled to perfection. Even though he was wearing a dress shirt, the top two buttons were undone, displaying the intricate artwork that adorned his chest and neck. He had a sharp jaw line that went perfectly with his full pink lips. His nose was pointed, and he had a nose ring on his left side. He way by far, the most attractive and deadly man I have ever seen in my life. He glanced down at the bodies, examining the mess I’ve made, before his angry grey eyes met mine.
Annnddd
there
goes
my
cover … Fuck .
Chapter 6
The muscular man in the middle of the three continued to stare at me with a hard expression on his face. One of the men standing beside him cautiously entered the room. With his gun still pointed at me, he walked over to one of the men closest to him on the floor. He bent down, and placed two fingers on his neck.
“He’s alive. But barely.” He said as he looked at the muscular man with grey eyes. The man did not seem fazed by his words, as his eyes were still locked onto mine.
“Let me save you the trouble. He’s the only one that’s dead.” I said with a scoff as I nodded to the man sprawled on the floor in front of me. “The other two are just knocked out.” I said as I looked back up at the muscular grey eyed man again. He was like a damn statue, and his presence was one that demanded respect and commanded authority. I felt rather uneasy under his gaze, and I’ve yet to decipher if it was from how attractive he was, or how deadly he appeared…most likely an unpleasant mixture of both.
They grey eyed man started walking towards me slowly, his hands behind his back as he stepped over the bodies on the floor, his eyes never leaving mine. The closer he got to me, the more his cologne flooded my senses, and I felt my breathing hitch slightly at the tantalizing scent. I didn’t back away, or act afraid. I was good at acting, but not good enough to keep up this innocent facade for long, God knows I’m anything but innocent. Especially after I just killed one man right in front of him with my hands tied together with rope.
He was a few inches away from me now, and he towered over me. He must be at least 6’3 or 6’4, a giant compared to my 5’5 height. He looked down at me, and continued to look at me with that emotionless expression painted on his face. His perfect eyebrows furrowed slightly, as if his mind was racing with ideas, questions, or theories as we all stood there in uncomfortable silence.
“And you are?” He said in a low voice as he stared down at me. He had a British accent, a gorgeous one at that. It wasn’t subtle, but it was excessive either. His deep baritone voice was like silk. It was the kind of voice that you wouldn’t mind hearing all day and all night.
“Blaze Simmons.” I answered as I looked up at him unafraid of his intimidating appearance or demeanor.
“How did you get here?” He asked in an unemotional tone.
“I went to a bar, and James kidnapped me when I left.” I said barely above a whisper. He looked at me for a few more seconds as his eyes narrowed. He turned around and walked towards the men at the door.
“Take the ones that are alive, bring them to the basement.” He said smoothing as he slowly walked towards the door. I furrowed my eyebrows in slight confusion as I tilted my head and watched him walk away. As if reading my mind, he stopped walking and looked over his shoulder at me, and then his eyes trailed down my body, looking at the blood stained lingerie that I was wearing. I inhaled sharply as I brought my arms closer to my chest in a sad attempt to cover my body from his chilling glare.
“Jacket.” He said in a low voice voice as he looked at the man still standing by the door as he held out his hand, his palm facing the ceiling. The fear filled man quickly obliged, and frantically took off his suit jacket and handed it to the grey eyed man without question.
The muscular man turned back around and quickly walked towards me, until he was behind me. I felt his fingertips graze my skin lightly before he draped the jacket over my shoulders. It reached down to my thighs, and was large enough to completely cover my body with buttoning it.
“Come with me.” The grey eyed man said in an emotionless tone as he walked in front of me again. I hesitantly started to walk towards the door, watching as the two other men started to carry the bodies.
I walked out into the hallway, and saw that the muscular man was a few meters ahead of me already, his hands in his pockets as his long strides carried him across the cement floor. The hallway was dim lit and eerie. Dozens of doors just like mine were lining the walls, and it made me wonder if other girls were here too. The thought made my stomach churn with disgust that other women had to go through what almost happened to me just now. I quickened my pace until I was walking closely behind him. I heard footsteps behind us, and looked over my shoulder to see that the men were carrying the bodies and following us.
“Where are we going?” I asked the grey eyed man as we neared the end of the hallway. He didn’t even look back, nor did he say anything. I quickly took the hint, and silently followed behind him, listening to the echo of footsteps that bounced off the walls. We went up a flight of stairs, leading to a large metal door.
He opened the door at the end of the hallway, slamming it against the cement wall and filling the air with a loud thud, causing me to kick the door in order to keep it open so I can walk through it. When I walked outside, I immediately examined my surroundings. The door led to a dark ally in the back of an old warehouse. From the outside, it looked abandoned: the windows were shattered, the cement was chipped in multiple places, and the front door was off the hinges. In the alleyway, there were at least six or seven cars. All of them were blacked out SUV’s except for one that was parked directly in front of us. It was a pristine gun metal grey LaFerrari, a limited edition car that was worth millions of dollars.
“Matteo.” The grey eyed man in front of me barked. Immediately, a ran up to us, an assault rifle in his tattooed hands. I’m assuming that this man is Matteo Black, the right hand to The Don and second in command of the European Mafia. He had on a mask, and I wasn’t able to see any details of his face.
Is
that
really
the
Capo?
If
so,
why
is
Matteo
taking
orders
from
him?
Who
the
hell
are
these
people?
“Take the women out of here and to the safe house. Offer them jobs, whatever they want. If they don’t agree, kill them.” The grey eyed man ordered as he pulled out the key to the LaFerrari. He clicked a button, making the passenger and drivers side door open and the car engine roar to life.
“And her?” The man who I’m assuming Matteo asked as he looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
“She’s coming with me.” He said, his tone laced with boredom as he started to walk to the LaFerrari.
“Yes boss.” Matteo said before he quickly walked over to the other armed men standing outside of the cars to the left.
Wait … boss?
Oh
fuc-
“Any day now.” They grey eye man said in an annoyed tone as he looked over his shoulder at me. He was already standing next to the LaFerrari, glaring at me with fury swimming in his eyes.
Anxiety flooded through me like a tidal wave as I came to the realization that this man is the infamous, dangerous, lethal, merciless, Ryder Calderon.
Fuck
you
God
for
making
the
enemy
so
damn
attractive .
Chapter 7
The man who I assume is Ryder waited for me by the open door of his car. He watched my every move with a hard expression on his face as I slid into the luxurious Italian sports car. He closed the door roughly for me, considering that I couldn’t because my hands were bound, before he walked around the back of the car. I saw in my side mirror that he was speaking with Matteo about something, their backs were turned so I couldn’t read their lips.
I saw Matteo nod, before the grey eyed man walked over to the drivers side and slid into the car. He closed the door before looking over at me, as if he was contemplating something. He leaned forward and reached into the waistband of his pants, pulling out a gun from behind his back. He looked at me as he placed it in the cup holder. He opened the center console, and pulled out a black silk tie without his eyes ever leaving mine.
“Come here.” He ordered as he closed the center console with his elbow. I quickly obliged and leaned over towards him, making the suit jacket separate, and the cold air brushed against my chest, making goosebumps appear on my skin. He leaned towards me and covered my eyes with the tie, securing it tightly before I felt him pull away.
“The second you touch that blindfold, is the second you get a bullet between your eyes. Got it?” He said in a low voice, I could tell he was still only a few inches from my face due to the minty smell of his breath hitting my cheek. I slightly nodded at his words as my breathing hitched.
“You’re a woman not a girl. Use your words.” He said in an annoyed voice, his face still close to mine.
“Yes. I understand.” I said confidently. I felt calloused hand on my shoulder, pushing me back so that I was sitting properly on the chair. I felt my nose graze something, most like his cheek or chin from the slight stubble I felt. I could sense his body hovering over mine as my breathing became heavy. I heard and felt my seatbelt move across my body before I felt his hand on my hip as the he clicked in the seatbelt.
I heard the car shift gears as we quickly sped out of the alleyway. The ride was silent as I counted the minutes that passed in my head. If I wasn’t in the car with one of the most notorious criminals in the world, I would actually be enjoying this 50 Shades of Grey shit. I mentally chuckled at the thought that I would actually be aroused in this situation, and cursed my sick and twisted mind for venturing off into that dark abyss of my imagination at a time like this.
I heard the flick of a lighter, and a deep inhale before cigarette smoke filled the car. I can tell he cracked his window because the car filled with the cold air from outside, making a shiver run up my spine. The tantalizing smell of tobacco and menthol made my mouth water, and I was desperately craving a cigarette after my little kidnapping and killing excursion.
“Is this an inappropriate time to ask for a cigarette?” I said, barely above a whisper as I chose my words carefully.
“Yes.” He answered immediately as I felt us take a sharp turn before the car accelerated, indicating that we might be on a freeway. I let out a sigh as I sat back in my seat and relaxed my body. I lowered my hands so they were resting on my thighs and tilted my head up slightly as silence filled the car once again.
“Open your mouth.” He said in a low voice after a few moments of silence, thirty five seconds to be exact. I obeyed, and my lips parted slightly and lowered my head down as I waited in anticipation for what he was going to do.
I felt the back of his fingers brush against my lips, and the end of a cigarette slowly enter my mouth. I took a long drag, filling my lungs with the smoke as his fingers gently pressing against my plump lips the entire time. I blew out the smoke on the right side of my mouth, away from him before I took another long hit. I felt his fingers move away as I exhaled a second time, the warmth from his touch now replaced by the cool breeze that filled the car.
“Thanks.” I whispered as I leaned my head back again, enjoying the slight head rush from the tobacco.
He didn’t respond, and we spent the next fifteen minutes driving in silence until the car finally slowed down to a crawl, then sped up again before coming to a complete stop, most likely going through some sort of gate. I stayed seated, with the tie wrapped around my eyes as I heard him open the drivers side door and close it loudly, making the car shake slightly. A few moments later, I heard my door open, filling the air with a cold breeze. I could sense him hovering over me, his presence warming my skin as I felt a shiver run down my spine at the sensation. My seat belt was unbuckled, and it quickly slid across my chest.
He grabbed my arm roughly, pulling me out of the car and making me stumble due to these god damn heels. He pulled me further away as I heard the car door slam behind us, followed by a beep from him locking it. My heels clanked against some sort of stone, tile maybe as I continued to be dragged by him. He stopped for a moment, making me bump into his muscular body before I heard a door open. He proceeded to walk forward, making me stumble due to his pace.
My heels continued to clink against a stone surface, and the room or house I was in was warm, and the aroma of garlic and herbs filled my senses… was someone cooking? I struggled to keep up with his long strides, and he was practically dragging me across the floor. I felt my heel slip underneath me, and I fell right into him, causing him to grab me with his other arm to prevent me from falling.
“Useless.” I heard him mumble angrily before I felt his hands leave my arm. His arm went around the front of my waist and the other wrapped around my calves before I was lifted up. His muscular shoulder was like a damn rock digging into my stomach, and I realized that he just threw me over his shoulder and was carrying me to wherever the hell we were going.
I could tell that we were quickly moving up a flight of stairs, and walked straight for a bit before I heard a pair of doors open. He walked forward, closed the door behind him, and I felt myself being sat down rather gently on a plush cushion. I stayed still, completely frozen in anticipation as to what his next move would be. He obviously wasn’t going to kill me, because if he was, then I would already be dead by now. I heard his footsteps a few feet away from me, before I heard him sit down in some sort of chair.
“Take off the blindfold.” He said in his low and emotionless voice. I took a deep breath before I brought my bound hands up to my eyes and gripped the silky material. It smelt just like him, masculine, hints of pine and tobacco.
I lifted it over my head slowly to see him sitting behind a large, dark wooden desk a few feet in front of me, with a serious expression on his face, and a gun aimed right at me.
Chapter 8
Anxiety and nervousness filled my body as the tension grew in the room. He looked at me with a hard expression on his face as he cocked the gun. I stayed in my seat, breathing deeply in an attempt to calm my nerves.
I watched as he reached over and grabbed his phone without breaking eye contact with me. He looked down at his iPhone, and his eyes started to scan something on the screen. I saw his eyebrow raise slightly as he read something on the screen before turning his attention back at me.
“Blaze Simmons, right?” He said in a deadly tone as he looked back up at me slowly, the loaded gun in his hand rested against the table and still aimed directly at my head.
“Yes.” I answered quietly, barely above a whisper.
“Tell me… Blaze.” He said as he scowled slightly when my fake name came out of his lips. “How is a behavior therapist able to take down three men, twice her size, with her arms fucking tied?” He said as he slightly furrowed his eyebrows. This man was unreadable, his emotionless demeanor would put the stoic British Royal Guards to shame.
“My foster parents owed a martial studio in New York. I’ve been training since I was 10… and have a black belt nearly every fighting style.” I said honestly in a quiet voice. He was by far the most intimidating man I’ve ever met in my life, and I took a deep breath trying to regain my composure and confidence.
“Why were you in London?” He asked as he continued to look at me with a deadly glare.
“I haven’t been on a vacation for years, and always wanted to see London.” I said honestly again. I haven’t been on a vacation ever, and London was always one of the places I’ve wanted to see. This little interrogation was easier than I thought.
“By yourself? No family or friends?” He asked in a serious tone.
“I have no family. Work too much to make any friends.” I said honestly again, I really didn’t have any friends.
“You seem rather calm for a woman who was almost sold into sex trafficking.” He said coldly as he reached into his pocket with his free hand and pulled out a cigarette. He brought it to his mouth before picking up a lighter on the desk, inhaling as he burned the end of it.
“I just killed a man, and knocked two unconscious after they tried to rape me. Now I’m sitting in an office, with a gun pointed at me. I’m in shock, so excuse me if my natural coping mechanisms are not up to your expectations.” I said boldly as I glared at him, making his jaw clench at my words.
“What did they do to you?” He said after a few moments of silence, his deep and deadly tone causing a shiver of fear to crawl up my spine.
“Drugged me. Kidnapped me. Then three of them tried to rape me.” I said as I leaned back in my chair. “I’m assuming that this is also an inappropriate time to ask for a cigarette, huh?” I said as I tilted my head up slightly and leaned it against the back of the plush chair.
“Extremely inappropriate.” He said as he narrowed his eyes at me and leaned back in his leather chair and looked back down at his phone as he bit the cigarette between his teeth.
“You have a criminal record. A pretty extensive one at that. Grad Theft Auto, Arson, Robbery, and dozens of assault charges…interesting.” He said in a low voice as he raised an eyebrow slightly and exhaled the cigarette smoke from the side of his mouth.
“I was a young kid with a fucked up past and anger issues. That’s why I became a behavior therapist, to help people who were just like me.” I said, which technically was half the truth. Being a CIA agent and taking down the criminals who caused the problems was much more beneficial than just talking about someone feels and prescribing useless medication.
I watched as he stood up from his seat with his gun still in his hand and aimed at me. He slowly walked to the front of the desk, and bent down in front of me. He tilted his head slightly, and his grey eyes pierced through mine as if he was examining me.
“So are you going to let me go, or what?” I asked as I looked at him, still leaning back in my chair with my head slight raised and my bound hands resting on my bare thighs.
“If you could get revenge on the men who tried to rape you, would you?” He asked curiously as he grabbed the cigarette between his teeth and exhaled.
“Absolutely.” I whispered honestly. If my hands weren’t bound, I’d make those sick fuckers suffer until they begged for death.
“I’ll make you a deal then.” He said as he turned the cigarette in between his fingers and held it out to me. I lifted my chest up, and leaned forward as he held the cigarette for me. I inhaled deeply, goosebump rising all over my skin as my lips grazed his fingers. Only a sick fucker like me would get turned on from being bound, held at gun point, and interrogated by one of the biggest criminals in the world… I have some serious issues.
“I’ll let you get your revenge, and you’ll work for me.” He said in a low and serious tone as he watched me exhale the cigarette smoke into the air.
“And if I say no?” I said as I looked up at him, our faces only a few inches apart. His masculine scent flooded my senses, and my breathing slightly hitched at our closeness.
“I’ll kill you.” I said in a low voice with a serious expression painted across his face.
“And who are you, exactly?” I asked as I leaned forward and inhaled from the cigarette again, my eyes never leaving his.
“Ryder Calderon. You’ll work for me. For the European Mafia.” He said as he continued to stare into my eyes. His tone and demeanor would easily strike fear into the hearts of anyone he meets, and I struggled trying to remain calm and collected in his presence.
Well
at
least
I’m
in
the
fucking
right
place .
“And what would I be doing exactly?” I asked quietly, exhaling the smoke out of the side of my mouth.
“Whatever the fuck I tell you to do.” He said with danger dripping off his tone.
“Sounds promising.” I said sarcastically with a dull tone as I leaned back in my chair, creating a bit of distance between us to help me clear my head of his intoxicating scent.
“Take your pick. Work for me, or get a bullet between your eyes. What’ll it be.” He stated as he looked at me. Silence stretched between us as I analyzed the situation. This was my opening into his organization, I can’t fuck this up.
“Alright Mr. Calderon. You have yourself a deal.” I said as I continued to look at him with an unemotional expression. On the outside I may seem cool, calm, and collected, but my body and mind were in a frenzy of anxiety and anticipation.
“Good choice.” He stated as he stood up and grabbed the rope binding my wrists together. He pulled me up to my feet, and started to walk me out of the office.
The house we were in was lavish and expensive. It was modern, and the glass tables and artwork at adorned the hallway added to the upscale and exquisite environment. My heels clinked against the black marble underneath my feet. We continued to walk down the long and spacious hallway, passing large black wooden doors, until we arrived at a large light grey door at the end of the hallway. Ryder opened it up, revealing a sleek elevator inside. It was plain, and had black marble lining the walls and the floor.
Silence stretched between us as I sat beside him, watching as he clicked a button, making the elevator start to descend. I studied his features as his gaze remained locked in front of him. His eyes were slightly narrowed, as if he was thinking or contemplating something. His masculine scent filled the elevator, and I had to stop myself from inhaling the marvelous scent as we stood in such a close proximity.
He looked down at me, that serious and unemotional expression still plastered on his flawless face. Our eyes met for a moment, before the elevator chimed, piercing through the thick tension that loomed in the air of the elevator.
The sleek doors opened to revel another hallway. The corridor was dim, and had an eerie atmosphere. The walls and floor were cement, and metal doors lined both sides of the hallway. There were a few lights hanging from the ceiling, one even flickering towards the end, making me feel like I just jumped right into a horror film.
Ryder grabbed the rope around my hands again as he walked out of the elevator, dragging me behind him again. He stopped in front of the first door to the left, and scanned his hand on a sensor installed on the wall to the right of the door. The hand scanner flashed green, before the loud sound of the door unlocking echoed off the walls.
He pulled me inside, and my eyes fell upon the two men I left alive, tied to a chair and covered in blood. There was a metal table behind them, with four chairs surrounding it. There were hundreds of tools hanging on the back wall, and it had every torture device you could think of.
Standing in front of them was a woman. She was taller than me, probably by a few inches, and had short black hair that reached her shoulder. She was thin, but I could tell she was muscular and strong. Her hands were balled into fists at her sides, and her skin was splattered with blood. She was wearing a black long sleeved shirt, that was pushed up to her elbows. Her black skinny jeans were ripped, and she wore a pair of black stylish thigh high boots. Woman has a good sense of style, that’s forsure. In the corner of the room was four other men. They were leaning against the wall, watching us as we walked inside the dim lit room.
“Did you get the information we needed?” Ryder asked as he pulled me in front of him, making me stumble slightly, before he slammed the door closed behind us.
“Yup.” The short haired girl responded before she turned around to look at us. Her thick eyebrows were furrowed slightly, and her hazel eyes were shining underneath her thick eyelashes. She had full lips, and her nose was pointed. She seemed young, maybe even younger than me.
“Fuckers been continuing the operation after we shut it down a two years ago. Selling to the Russians mainly.” She said as she looked at Ryder, who simply nodded slightly. Her gaze fell onto me, and she eyed me up and down before raising an eyebrow in curiosity.
“Time for you to prove you’re worth keeping alive.” Ryder said as he stepped in front of me, his grey eyes burning through me with his deadly glare.
“Do I get a gun?” I said as I raised my eyebrow at him.
“After what you did to these men with your arms bound, you think I’ll trust you with a gun?” He said in annoyance as a scowl came to his face.
“Lift your hands.” He ordered at me while he reached into his back pocket. I quickly obeyed, ignoring the stares I was receiving from everyone in the room. Ryder’s eyes were locked on mine as he brought out a knife from his pocket, and cut the ropes binding my wrist.
“Let’s see what you got.” Ryder said, his face remained emotionless as he twirled the knife in his hand so that the handle was facing me.
The European Mafia was known for being merciless, and I knew I had one chance to make a good first impression. Hobbs told me not to kill anyone, and I’m going to assume that he just meant not to kill civilians or innocent people. These are criminals, people who deserved to burn in hell for eternity for the things that they have done.
I took a deep breath, channeling my inner psychopath and releasing the demons that I’ve kept buried in the abyss of my soul for years. I released all of the pent up anger, frustration, rage, hatred, and anguish that I’ve kept hidden from the world. I felt the familiar numbness take over me, as I grabbed the knife from Ryders hand, and slowly looked up at him with a wicked smile stretched across my face.
Chapter 9
My heels clanking against the cement floor was the only sound to pierce the silence that hovered in the air. All eyes were on me as I slowly made my way over to the two men in the chairs, who were both looking at me with scowls on their faces. The CIA revoked my interrogation privileges after I nearly beat a man to death. They said that my methods were cruel and unusual, even though they were effective as hell. I felt a strange jolt of excitement course through me at the thought of finally getting a release from the anger I felt inside of me all these years.
“It’s a bit quiet in here. Can you play some music or something?” I asked as I turned around at the crowd watching me.
“No.” Ryder said coldly at the same time the woman exclaimed happily, “Hell yeah.”
Ryder, who was leaning against the wall with his arms cross and his foot propped on the cement, whipped his head to the side and glared at the woman with a deadly look on his face. The woman ignored him, and pulled out her phone. Within a few seconds, the song The Beat Goes On by The Whispers started playing in the room.
“Such a good song.” I said as I started to bob my head to the funky beat.
“The best.” She said as she smiled widely at me. I think I’ll like this girl.
I walked over to the table behind them, my hips swaying to the beat as my head bobbed, before I grabbed a cigarette from the pack laying on the table. I brought it to my lips, and lit a match that was beside the pack. I inhaled deeply before exhaling and tilting my head up, filling the air with second hand smoke. My mind raced with ideas of all the fucked up and twisted things I could do to these men, when I glanced over at the wall of torture devices and spotted a container of gasoline.
I walked over while dancing to the song, bitting the cigarette between my teeth. I grabbed the container with one hand, while my other hand was snapping to the beat and my hips swayed with each step I took.
I dropped the contained in between the two men, and I started to dance-walk over to the other man, saving James for last. I looked down at the man while I twirled the knife in my hand and inhaled the smoke from my cigarette.
“Look at that, it’s the bitch from the bar.” He exclaimed before he spat at me, hitting the shoulder of the jacket I was wearing and smearing it with his saliva and blood. I scowled at him, and walked up behind him. I pulled his hair back roughly, making him look up at me.
“Such a disrespectful mouth you have.” I muttered quietly with the cigarette between my teeth. I grabbed his tongue quickly in my hands, and cut it out of his mouth with the knife in one quick motion.
The crowd watching me cringed at the sight, except for Ryder and the woman. Ryder’s eyes furrowed slightly, barely enough to notice, while the woman smiled widely and yelled out excitement.
I tossed the tongue onto his lap, and he looked down at it as his body started to shake in fear. James, who was watching beside him, looked up at me with wide eyes. A sight that brought me more pleasure than I thought it would. I started to walk in front of the man again, still dancing and taking the cigarette between my fingers.
“Got any gloves in here?” I asked, looking at the amused woman standing next to Ryder.
“Of course.” She said as she smiled and quickly walked over to the tools hanging on the wall. She grabbed a pair of black gloves from a box hanging in the corner, before she quickly walked over to me and handed them to me with a large smile.
“Thanks.” I said as I smiled at the friendly woman. She turned around and returned to her position next to Ryder, who now had an unreadable expression on his face.
I bit the cigarette between my teeth, dropped the knife to the floor, and put the gloves on quickly. I bent down, and started to unbutton the pants of the man in front of me, pulling them down to his knees as he squirmed and yelled in protest. The crowd was looking at me with confused expression on their faces as they looked at the half naked man in front of me.
I grabbed the knife, and twirled it in my hands as I smiled. With my head still bobbing to the beat, I grabbed his dick in my hand, and inhaled the smoke from my cigarette as I castrated him, chopping his manhood right off and making his muffled screams fill the air.
“YESSS!” The woman called out as she laughed, bending over while she clutched her stomach.
I heard gagging come from behind me, and I turned around to see the four men holding their mouths until two of them started to vomit on the floor, making me chuckle lightly. Ryder’s eyes were slightly wide for a moment, before he returned back to his stoic and emotionless self.
I stood up and exhaled the smoke from my mouth, and started to dance as I made my way over to a fear filled James, the other mans chopped off dick still in my gloved hand. I did a spin before I continued to dance over to him. I was now standing in front of him, looking down at the piece of shit with a smile on my face. I bent down a bit so we were eye to eye, and inhaled the smoke from my cigarette once more.
“So you like taking advantage of woman, huh?” I said as I tilted my head to the right.
“Fuc-” He started to yell, but I cut him off by shoving the manhood in my hands deep into his mouth, making him squirm and scream. I heard a few men vomit behind me once more, making me laugh at the so called “ruthless” Mafia members. I stood back up, closed my eyes as I danced over to the can of gasoline that was in between the men. I lifted it up, and made my way over to the other man, who was now unconscious from losing too much blood. I swayed my shoulder to the funky beat of the song as I poured gasoline on his head, and danced my way over to James, who was still gurgling and choking on a dick. I poured gasoline on him as well, before tossing the can in between them. I did a spin to the beat, before I started to dance over to Ryder and the woman. When I was a safe distance away, I took a final drag of my cigarette, and tossed it over my head, igniting the gasoline, and setting both of the men on fire.
I knew it was wrong, and fucking disturbing… but I felt… different. Giving these men the deaths they deserved by my own hand made me feel… alive. I took their life, and I didn’t have to file dozens of reports, or report to Dr. Jone’s office for a psychiatric evaluation. I didn’t have to face Hobbs, and hear him scold me for killing anyone. It felt…strangely liberating.
The woman started to clap as I walked over to them, while Ryder raised an eyebrow as he stared at me, his calm and cool demeanor never faltering. The guards were wiping their mouths, and puke covered the corner of the room as they looked at me with horror filled eyes.
“Impressive.” The woman said as she smiled widely at me, making me shrug casually as the song came to an end. Her positive and upbeat personality was contagious, and I couldn’t help but smile back at her.
“Take her to the guest room on the third floor. She starts training tomorrow.” Ryder said as he glared at me. He pushed himself off the wall with his foot and walked out of the room without another word, slamming the door behind him, and making me smile slightly.

Chapter 10
The other men in the room rushed to try and extinguish the inferno I created as we exited the room. The short haired woman nodded at me before walking past me and opening the door. I looked back once more, hoping to feel some sort of remorse or guilt, but to my surprise, I felt none. I watched as the flames danced in the dark room, before walking out without a word.
“Man, I haven’t seen anything that gruesome for a while, that was fucking awesome.” The woman laughed as we walked down the hallway. I gave her a small smile as I watched her click the up arrow on the wall, making the button illuminate underneath her perfectly manicured finger.
“I’m Jolie by the way.” She said as she turned towards me and extended out her hand for me to shake.
“Blaze.” I said quietly as I took her hand in mine and gave it a firm shake as the elevator doors slid open.
We walked inside the elevator, and I watched her click the third button from the bottom. The tantalizing scent of pine and tobacco lingered in the air, indicating that Ryder was in here just a few moments ago. I leaned my back against the wall, and closed my eyes, relaxing at the smell of the mesmerizing cologne.
“So what’d you do?” Jolie asked as she looked over at me with her eyebrow raised.
“Huh?” I asked as I opened an eye and looked over at her.
“What did you do to get Ryder to put you on the third floor?” Jolie asked as she tilted her head in curiosity.
“I still don’t understand what you mean.” I said as I closed my eye again and leaned my head back against the wall.
“Only the family is allowed to stay on the third floor, so Ryder and I.” Jolie said as she looked forward towards the number illuminating at the top of the elevator.
Ryder
and
I?
Is
this
his
girlfriend?
Wife?
I felt a sudden pang of jealousy towards this woman. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused at my own emotions as I tried to decipher why I suddenly felt like slamming this nice woman’s head into the wall until she stopped breathing.
Why
the
fuck
am
I
jealous?
“He either likes you for some reason, or absolutely hates you.” Jolie said as she looked at me with her eyebrow raised.
“Most likely the latter.” I said as I opened my eyes. I crossed my arms and looked down once I felt that the jacket I was wearing was drenched in blood. I looked up at my reflection in the mirror, and I looked absolutely horrifying. My hair was disarrayed, blood was splattered across my face and clothes, and my makeup from earlier was running down my face. I looked like a bloody fucking clown. The doors slid open, thankfully taking my reflection with them. Jolie walked out first, and I followed closely behind her.
“You know, he’s not as bad as he seems.” Jolie said as she shoved her hands in her front pockets and looked up at the ceiling.
“You’re right, he’s much worse.” I said as I rolled my eyes behind her. She laughed loudly at my words, filling the silence with her feminine chuckle. “Is he always so…emotionless?” I asked curiously as I tilted my head.
“For as long as I’ve known him.” Jolie said as she shrugged. “I’ve seen him almost smile once… I think.” She said in a quieter tone as she brought a finger to her chin and tapped it twice over her lips as she tilted her head, trying to recall the memory.
“How long have you known him?” I asked curiously, trying to get some information on the mysterious and infamous Ryder Calderon.
“My entire life.” She said as she shrugged and placed her hand back in her pocket.
Maybe
she’s
just
a
childhood
friend … or
a
sister?
Oh
who
am
I
kidding . She’s
fucking
gorgeous . But
seriously,
why
the
hell
do
I
feel
so
jealous?
“So what training am I going to be doing?” I asked, changing the subject as we continued walking down the long and well lit hallway.
“Well, he’ll most likely put you with the assassins after that little show you put on for us in the basement.” She said as she chuckled slightly.
“What does that entail?” I asked as I looked over at her.
“A lot. You’ll see tomorrow.” She said as she shrugged casually as we came to a stop in front of a large black wooden door.
She opened it, and revealed a room the size of my apartment back home. It had a California King sized mattress in the back of the room. Book shelves lined the left side of the spacious bedroom, with a coffee table and a few dark grey decorative chairs around it. Towards the right, was a desk that was placed against the wall, with nothing placed on top of it. I walked further inside to see a massive bathroom. The tiles were white and grey marble, and it had a very large bathtub against the wall, with jets lining every inch of it. Attached to that, was a long shower, that had a built in bench, and a waterfall shower head. The walk in closet was attached to the bathroom, and the shelves were barren and empty, only holding vacant hangers on the racks.
“Sorry, we usually never have guests for… obvious reasons.” Jolie said as she eyed the empty closet and ran her hand through her jet black hair. “Give me a minute, I’ll get you some clothes.” She said as she quickly walked out of the room.
I walked back into the room, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking around at the lavish and expensive room I’ll be staying in. I started to hear faint moans of a women from the hallway. Curious, I walked closer to the door, and realized that the loud moans were coming from the bedroom across from my room. I looked to my left to see Jolie headed towards me from down the hallway, her hands filled with black and grey clothes.
She stopped in front of me, and held out the clothes for me to take with a large smile. I smiled back at her and took the pile of clothes she handed me. A loud moan filled the air, and we both looked at the door across from mine.
“Sorry about… the noise. My brother is kind of a… fuckboy.” Jolie said as she rolled her eyes in annoyance.
So
she’s
Jolie
Calderon … a
sister
that
the
CIA
has
no
information
on … interesting .
“You don’t say.” I said sarcastically as I rolled my eyes. “Is there another room I can stay in? The walls are pretty thin.” I said as I raised an eyebrow at Jolie.
“Sorry, this is the only guest room on this floor. He specifically wanted you up here for some reason.” She said as she gave me a look of pity. “Just do your best to ignore it.” She said gently as she tapped to top of the clothes in my hand and a loud moan filled the air once again.
“My room is at the end of the hallway, the last door on the right. Let me know if you need anything.” She said with a large smile before she quickly walked down the hallway. I walked into my bedroom and shut the door, locking it behind me as I walked over to the bed and tossed the clothes onto it.
“Oh
fuck!
Oh
my
god
I’m
gonna
cum … Fuck …. Oh
fuck
yes!
Yes!“ The woman moaned from Ryders bedroom filling me room with her high pitched and annoying voice, making me roll my eyes in annoyance. I felt like barging in there and snapping the woman’s neck for disrupting my god damn peace and quiet.
I couldn’t help but to detest the disgusting, arrogant, emotionless bastard, and I felt a mix of frustration and anger flow through my body as any hit of jealousy I felt vanished just as fast as it came.
“ God!
YES! “ The woman screamed again.
Annddd
the

Chapter 11
“BLAZE!” A voice I recognized as Jolie’s yelled from my door. I turned over and put my pillow over my head and groaned in annoyance.
“BLAZE! WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU’RE LATE FOR TRAINING!” Jolie yelled, making me shoot up out of bed frantically.
I was exhausted. The moans kept going all fucking night, and if I wasn’t so annoyed at the fact that the woman Ryder was fucking disturbed my sleep, I’d honestly be impressed that he had so much damn stamina. I looked over at the clock on the side of the table to see that it was already 9:37am.
“What time does training start?” I yelled as I rolled out of bed and walked over to the door. I opened it to see Jolie standing there with a neatly folded outfit in her hand.
“It started 7 minutes ago.” She said as she raised her eyebrow at me. I quickly grabbed the clothes from her hand and tossed them onto the bed. Jolie walked into my room and closed the door behind her.
“Well fuck, a little heads up would have been nice.” I yelled as I threw on the black tank top she gave me. I quickly changed into the black skinny jeans, hobbling to the bathroom before I turned on the skin.
“Ryder was suposto tell you.” I heard Jolie say from the other room.
“That prick.” I mumbled in annoyance as I rapidly brushed my teeth. I rinsed out my mouth and quickly ran a brush through my curly and unruly hair before putting a ponytail on my wrist. I looked at my bare face in the mirror before rolling my eyes.
I ran out into the bedroom and quickly grabbed the combat boots Jolie was holding up in her hands. I bent down and put them on my feet, hopping with one foot as I tied the laces of my right boot before repeating the action with the left.
“Come on.” Jolie said as she quickly walked out of the door, making me jog behind her to catch up. We took the elevator down to the first floor, and ran through the seemingly endless hallways until we arrived at a large red double door. Jolie quickly pushed it open, revealing at least 60 very intimidating men and women standing inside with their backs facing us.
The room was much bigger than I expected, and it had high ceilings and an open floor plan. The smooth cement floors matched the grey stone walls. There were no windows, and the room was illuminated by bright LED lights that lined the ceiling.
Everyone was dressed the same as me, black shirt, jeans, and boots. They stood in multiple lines, with their legs shoulder length apart, hands behind their backs and they chins raised slightly as if they were soldiers. Ryder was standing in front of them with two men on both sides of him, and a long rectangular table behind them. He was raised on a stage of sorts, and four steps lined the front of it.
His muscular arms were crossed in front of him and his grey eyes stayed locked on us as we made our way to the front of the room. Everyone glared at me as I walked past, and I straightened my back and walked confidently as I ignored their obvious stares.
If
these
fuckers
wanna
stare,
might
as
well
give
them
a
reason
to … right?
“Stand right there.” Jolie whispered, breaking the silence in the room as she pointed to an open space in the first line towards the right. I nodded before I quickly walked over and stood like the rest of them as Jolie climbed the steps and stood to the right of Ryder.
“Well now that you’ve graced us with your fucking presence, we can begin.” Ryder said in an annoyed tone as he stared at me with an unemotional expression plastered on his annoying face. I scowled at him for purposely sabotaging me by neglecting to tell me when this damn training session started on top of keeping me up all damn night. I couldn’t wait to escort this fucker straight to hell.
He walked over to the table behind him as everyone watched his every move. He grabbed something from the table, a bag of some sort, before walking back to the front of the stage slowly. He tossed the bag out in front of him, making a thud echo off the deadly silent room.
“This, is a body bag.” He said loudly, so everyone in the room can hear him. “A handful of you will be leaving this training as assassins for the European Mafia, the other half will be leaving in this bag.” He said as he pointed to it and looked around the room.
“An assassin is one of the most respected, and vital positions in this organization. It’s going to be a process of elimination, so treat this training like your life depends on it… because quite frankly, it does.” He said as he crossed his arms and looked over at me, making me furrow my eyebrows. His eyes quickly moved to the man standing beside me before he spoke again.
“Partner up with the person on your right.” He said still glaring at me before he turned around and made his way to the table, the rest of the men and Jolie following suit.
The man I was beside was at least three times as big as me. He was 6’4 easily, and his biceps were easily twice the size of my head. Tattoos covered his face, traveling down his neck and to his hands. His face was covered in scars, and he had a scowl on his face as he looked down at me. Next to his massive stature, I looked like a damn child.
We watched as the leaders took their seats on the stage, the sound of their metal chairs scraping against the floor pierced through the large and silent room.
“You two.” He said as he pointed to two men who stood on the furthermost left side of the line I was standing in. “Come to the center.” He said as he leaned his elbows on the table in front of him.
As I watched them quickly walk over, I couldn’t help but feel like I was at some sort of fucking audition than training session. It was as if we were showcasing our skills in front of a panel of judges, and I scowled at the thought of this annoying fucking selection process.
But if I was going to get any information on what they were doing, I had to earn their trust and respect. I’ll have to get high enough in their ranks for them to trust me, then once I find out enough information, I can destroy them from the inside out.
The two men were now standing in the center of the room, standing with their hands behind their backs and looking at Ryder.
“First training. Hand to hand combat. Whoever survives, moves on. Go.” He said in a deadly tone as he leaned in his chair. His eyes met mine for a moment, and I thought for a moment I saw the corner of his lips rise, almost as if he was holding back a smirk. That motherfucker wants me to fail, why else would he pair me up with this gargantuan?
Fury flowed through my veins, but as he looked at me, I smirked at him evilly. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he saw the look on my face before turning his attention back to the men fighting in the center. He has no idea who the fuck he’s messing with.
Challenge
accept,
Ryder
Calderon .
Challenge
fucking
accepted .
Chapter 12
We all watched as the fights continued, one after one. Each time the result was the same, one candidate was beaten to death, and the other walked away jubilant and victorious, most of them boasting and acting cockily as they walked away from the lifeless body in their wake.
I yawned as the candidate threw one last punch, killing the man he was fighting. He threw his hands in the air and cheered as everyone else clapped for him, egging on this barbaric and violent behavior.
I would catch Ryder often staring at me, as if anticipating the fight to come. I just started to ignore the fucker, and focus on not falling asleep while standing due to my boredom and exhaustion. I watched as they dragged the dead body away, leaving yet another trail of blood on the concrete floors.
“Next.” Ryder said as he stared at me. His hand was resting underneath his chin, and he sat with his ankle propped up on his knee. In front of him was a glass of dark liquid, which I’m assuming is liquor. The gargantuan and I started to walk to the center of the floor, and I heard candidates behind me starting to snicker under their breath upon seeing this match up.
We stood a few feet away from each other, with our hands behind our backs and our legs shoulder width apart as we awaited the order to commence the fight.
I couldn’t help the yawn that escaped my mouth, making the candidates start laughing even louder, and the men that sat upon the stage around Ryder started to look down at me with their eyebrows raised.
“Is this boring to you?” Ryder asked me in a deadly tone, making the laughter halt immediately at his words.
“Yeah. Plus I didn’t get much sleep. The inconsiderate asshole in the room across from mine was so loud last night fucking some whore he disrupted my rest.” I said in a dull tone as I shrugged nonchalantly. I saw Ryder’s jaw clench tightly, and Jolie was pursing her lips in an attempt to hold back her laughter.
“Go.” Ryder ordered, commencing the fight.
“Too fucking easy.” The gargantuan turned to me with a smile. My body was relaxed, with my arms by my side as I yawned once more, covering my mouth with my hand. The room started to snicker again, and the gargantuan facing me scoffed under his breath.
He threw a punch at me while I was in mid-yawn. Still yawning, I pivoted to the side quickly and caught his wrist when his arm fully extended. I bent my wrist and straightened my hand before I hit the back of his elbow will immense force, making a loud snap fill the room and causing the snickers and laughter to stop completely.
The gargantuan screamed in pain, and I kicked the back of his knee, causing him to lean on the floor. I quickly wrapped my hands around his head, and snapped his neck, instantly killing him. It was the quickest fight so far, only lasting a total of 5 seconds, and that’s including my yawn in the beginning.
I let out another loud yawn as his lifeless body hit the floor with a loud thud. I looked up at Ryder with a bored expression on my face, while he just glared at me with his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
“Is that all?” I said loudly as I looked up at Ryder with a raised eyebrow. He narrowed his eyes at me, and I watched as his hand on the table clench into a fist.
“You four, come to the center.” He said as he pointed to a group in the second row.
“Brother, this isn’t necessary.” I heard Jolie whisper as her face held concern and worry.
“Since the first fight was a bit… quick, why don’t we make it a little harder for you.” Ryder said in a deadly tone as he leaned back into his chair and continued to glare at me. My eyes were locked onto his as the men surrounded me.
“Go.” He said as he raised an eyebrow slightly. He grabbed the glass in front of him, and brought it to his lips as he took a large gulp.
All of the men attacked me at once. I stepped back with my right leg, and spun over my right shoulder, positioning myself behind on of the men. I quickly grabbed his head, and snapped his neck before kicking his body forward, hitting two of the men coming at me. I ran towards them and jumped with my right leg extended in the air.
I rotated my hips while mid-air, and straightened them out, kicking both of them in the face while still flying forward. I straightened out my right leg again, and kicked the last man standing right in the throat before I landed and pivoted so I was facing them.
One of the men quickly stood up next to me, and tried to roundhouse kick the side of my face. I quickly ducked down, and grabbed his ankle that was on the floor, and yanked it upwards, causing him to fall flat on his back. I lifted my leg up high before slamming it down on his throat, Axe kicking him. He took a few ragged breaths before dying on the floor.
One of the men was up on his feet behind me, running towards me and trying to tackle me. I pivoted so my back was turned to him, and gripped around his head and interlaced my fingers to preform a Kubi Kudaki, one of the deadliest moves in martial arts. I leaned forward, pulling his head in front of me. I heard a snap as his body hit the floor, indicating that I broke his neck and killed him instantly.
The last man tried running at me with his fist in the air. My body was relaxed, and when he came near me, I hit his pressure points with two of my fingers, and old trick my foster dad taught me. My hand rapidly moved across his chest as I continued to hit the vital points, making him gasp and stand there in shock with his arms held out to his side. I stepped back slightly, before roundhouse kicking him in the side of the face hard, making his head bounce off the cement floor and crack open. I was facing Ryder as I finished my kick. My breathing was even, my posture was relaxed, and I looked down at the lifeless body in front of me before slowly looking up at him.
He looked back at me with a deadly glare, and his eyes narrowed the longer he kept staring at me. He was holding onto the glass in his hand so tightly that his knuckles were white. I raised my eyebrow at him before I turned around and walked back to my position in the line, swaying my hips with each step.
Everyone was watching me with wide eyes as I turned around and faced the stage again. I involuntarily let out another loud yawn, and the sound of glass shattering filled the air. I looked up at Ryder staring at me with his jaw clenched and an emotionless expression still remains on his face, the glass of liquor shattered within his fist and spilt all over the table in front of him.
Chapter 13
“Hey Blaze, right?” I heard someone calling out behind me as I was quickly walking out of the training room. I turned over my shoulder to see one of the men that were on stage judging us jogging towards me with a slight smile on his face.
“Yeah, and you are?” I said as I raised an eyebrow at him. I desperately needed a fucking nap, and I really didn’t want to engage in any kind of conversation.
The man came closer, and I examined his features. His jet black hair contrasted perfectly with his icy blue eyes. His hair was of medium length, so the front of it almost touched his thick and dark eyebrows. It wasn’t styled, and seemed a bit unruly. He had a four o’clock shadow, and his sharp jawline was covered in short and dark stubble. Normally, I would have swooned over the sight of this attractive man calling out my fake name and running towards me, but I was so tired I honestly couldn’t care.
“Matteo. Matteo Black.” He said as he stood in front of me and held out his hand with a smirk.
“Nice to meet you.” I said turning around and shaking his hand firmly while I smiled back at him. This could be a great opportunity to gather some additional information on the infamous Capo.
“You did good out there. Really fucking good. Where’d you learn to fight like that?” He asked as he smiled and tilted his head slightly.
“My foster parters owned a martial arts studio, so I spent most of my childhood in a dojo.” I said as I chuckled slightly.
“Foster parents? If you don’t mind me asking, what happened to your real parents?” He asked curiously as he tilted his head.
“Wow. Already asking me about my family, and you didn’t even take me out to dinner yet? How rude.” I joked while chuckling as I attempted to change the subject. I hated talking about my past, it held nothing but horrid and disturbing memories that I longed to forget. He chucked while he looked down at the floor and ran his fingers through his hair before his piercing blue eyes met mine once more.
“Alright, alright. How about I buy you a drink? A couple of us are going out tonight, I’d love if you could join us?” He said with a large smirk as he raised his eyebrow.
“Sounds good.” I said as I looked at him and smiled back.
“Awesome. We’re meeting up in the living room at 9. I’ll meet you down there.” Matteo said as he winked at me, making my heart flutter slightly.
“Matteo.” A deep and deadly voice boom throughout the room. We both looked over to our right to see Ryder leaning against the wall, with his arms crossed in front of his chest and his gaze fixated directly at me.
“Hope I’m not disturbing anything important.” Ryder said with a bored tone as he started walking towards us.
“Only slightly.” Matteo said as his lips morphed from a smirk to a slight scowl. “What’s up?”
“I don’t fucking pay you to stand around and flirt. You have shit to do, make sure it gets done.” Ryder growled in annoyance as he glared at Matteo, then his head turned to look at me.
“Get lost.” Ryder growled at me as he looked at me with an unemotional expression on his face.
I raised my chin in defiance as I glared at him and crossed my arms. We stayed like this for a moment, and Matteos confused gaze went from me, to Ryder, then back to me before he finally pierced the awkward tension.
“It’s all right, Blaze. I’ll see you tonight.” Matteo said as he smiled slightly. Ryder whipped his head to face him so fast I swear he got a bit of whiplash from it. His unemotional face turned into an angry scowl as he started at Matteo, who in turn, was smiling at me.
“Looking forward to it.” I said confidently as I raised my eyebrow and turned around, swaying my hips before walking out of the training room.
I walked up to my room, taking the elevator and ignoring the stares from everyone that I passed. Before I joined the CIA, I had to enroll in the academy, which is their version of training. It was a six month bootcamp, and I couldn’t help but have the unpleasant feeling of deja vu creep into my mind.
I was use to the stares, the shit talkers, and the cockiness. In all honesty, CIA training was worse, frankly because I couldn’t kill the people who annoyed me. I was an outcast there, always the black sheep and the underdog. It didn’t bother me though, I used it as fuel, as motivation to prove everyone fucking wrong about me. I honestly enjoyed the negativity that people threw my way, it gave me more of a reason to train harder. While they were sleeping, I was awake training. While they were partying, I was bettering myself. While they were talking shit, I kept my mouth closed and let my skills do the talking.
I opened the door to my room to see Jolie waiting for me inside. She was sitting on one of the chairs by the bookshelf, her legs crossed and her phone in her hand.
“About time.” She said with a smile as she stood up and walked over to me.
“Sorry. I would have hurried if I knew I was expecting company.” I said as I raised my eyebrow at her.
“You’re coming out with us tonight, right?” She asked hopefully as she gripped my shoulder.
“Yeah, Matteo invited me.” I said smiling slightly. I needed a damn drink… especially after dealing with the emotionally void sex god named Ryder Calderon.
“Wait… Matteo invited you!?” Jolie said as she raised her eyebrows in surprise and a playful smirk stretched across her lips.
“Yeah. Why are you acting so weird now?” I asked curiously as I furrowed my eyebrows.
“Dude. Matteo never talks to anyone, let alone invites them out. He’s totally into you.” Jolie said as she smiled widely and shook my shoulders slightly.
“Boy are the last thing on my fucking mind.” I said honestly as she continued to shake me. “And stop fucking shaking me.” I laughed as I gently gripped her wrists and pushed them away.
“Go take a shower and wash off the blood that’s on you, I’ll bring you some outfits!” Jolie said as she pointed a finger in the air and ran out of the room, leaving me inside to shake my head at her playful and excited demeanor as I walked into the bathroom.
I turned on the water, and let the scorching liquid relax my tense muscles and wash the blood off my skin. I leaned against the wall and leaned my head back as I closed my eyes. I stayed there for a moment, letting the hot water seep into my bones and for the first time since I got here, I actually felt somewhat… relaxed.
I quickly got out of the shower, and walked out into my bedroom with only a towel on. Jolie barged into my room with a bag full of clothes as she tossed it over to me. I quickly rummaged through the things she brought me and frowned when I saw how sexy and revealing all of them were.
“Jolie what the hell is this?” I groaned as I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
“Um appropriate clothes for your date tonight, duh.” Jolie said with her eyebrow raised as if she was stating the obvious. A few moments later, we heard the door across from mine slam loudly, causing the walls to shake from the impact. We both looked at the door, before looking at each other and shrugging.
After about twenty minutes of arguing, I finally gave in and wore skinny jeans, heeled boots, a low cut blouse, and a leather jacket. I curled my hair, and ran my fingers through it a few times, before Jolie did my makeup perfectly.
“Man you really know how to get under my brothers skin.” Jolie laughed as we walked into the elevator.
“Good. Prick deserves it… no offense.” I said as I quickly looked over at her.
“None taken.” Jolie laughed. “He can be a hard person to deal with, trust me.”
“Hard would be an understatement. I couldn’t imagine the patience you must have by being related to him. He’s intolerable.” I said as I rolled my eyes and walked out of the elevator.
There were about a dozen people waiting downstairs, some of them I began to recognize as members, and other I recognized as candidates. They were all mingling and some were already drinking. I walked past of woman, who started to stare at me before snickering at me. I rolled my eyes at their immaturity before walking out beside Jolie.
“Blaze, hey!” I heard from the other side of the room, making everyone turn their head in curiosity. I saw Matteo making his way through the center of the crowd towards me with a smile. Everyone started whispering as their eyes followed the smiling Matteo as he walked until he was right in front of me.
“You look…wow.” Matteo said as he looked me up and down and ran his hand through his jet black hair.
“You don’t look to bad yourself.” I said honestly as I looked him up and down. He was wearing a black v neck shirt that hugged his muscular body. His hair was messy, and added to his bad boy demeanor. I couldn’t help but feel slightly flustered as his masculine and clean scent filled the air around us. He was attractive, and he the worst part is that he knew it.
The room fell completely silent as the elevator doors slid open. Matteo’s attention moved from my eyes, to behind me as another scent of pine and tobacco filled the air, filling my senses and overpowering Matteos. I looked over my shoulder to see Ryder, dressed in a black long sleeved shirt and black jeans. His hair was styled and gelled back to perfection. My breathing hitched as he started walking out of the elevator, and his grey eyes locked onto mine…that man obviously has a staring problem. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looked over at Matteo for a moment, before looking over at me again.
“About time you’re ready.” Matteo spoke out bravely. It seems like he’s the only one who is bold enough to speak to Ryder in such a casual way. Ryder continued to walk over to us, his long strides closing the distance between us within a few seconds.
“Fuck off.” He growled at Matteo as he glared at him. “And where do you think you’re going?” Ryder asked as he turned his head to look down at me.
“Out.” I stated as I crossed my arms in front of my chest.
“And who gave you permission to leave?” He said as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, mimicking my body language.
“Matteo.” I said as I raised my eyebrow in annoyance, and Matteo looked over at Ryder in curiosity.
“New rule. You’re not to leave the estate until your training is completed.” Ryder said as he raised an eyebrow, yet again mimicking my body language like a fucking child.
“That’s not fucking fair.” I exclaimed in a deadly tone. “I’m here because we made a deal, and being on house arrest was not apart of our negation.” I said as I tilted my chin in defiance as I glared at him.
“Negotiation? Let’s get one thing straight, you little brat.” Ryder scoffed as he continued to glare at me with an unemotional expression on his face. He hunched his back slightly, bringing his face closer to mine so that his nose was almost touching mine.
“You’re only here because you can be an asset to my Mafia. Either follow my rules, or fucking die. And lose that annoying ass attitude while you’re at it.” He said in a deadly tone, I inhaled deeply, trying to control my temper. Being this close to him, smelling his minty breath, and his skin grazing mine, always made me feel uneasy. He was by far the most attractive man I’ve ever met, and his controlling and powerful aura made my knees weak and my body betray me with desire.
“Sir yes fucking sir.” I said sarcastically after a few moment, breaking the silence as well as our little stare off. I turned around and started to walk away, everyone watching as I walked out of the room quickly.
I fucking hate Ryder Calderon. More than I have every hated anyone in my life, and trust me, that is a long fucking list in itself. I fucking hate his attitude. I fucking hate his dominance. I fucking hate his cockiness. I fucking hate his ego.
But most of all, I fucking hate that no matter what he says to me, or how he treats me, I can’t control this undeniable lust I feel towards the infamous and notorious Ryder Calderon, no matter how much I fucking hate him.
Chapter 14
“Hey Blaze, wait up!” I heard Jolie call out from behind me. I was fuming, absolutely fucking livid at the way Ryder completely humiliated me and scolded me in front of everyone like I was a damn child.
I stopped walking, and turned over my should to see Blaze, Matteo, and a two others quickly walking after me. I exhaled deeply as I slowly walked out into the backyard, letting the light breezy caress my skin as I closed my eyes in an attempt to calm down.
The backyard was beautiful. It had a massive infinity pool that overlooked the lush and green gardens below. It was on the second story, so the view was magnificent. The pool was illuminated by a light blue light underneath the water, making everything glow with the soft light. There was a waterfall that was running, and you could easily access it, and jump off the 20ft ledge into the deep pool below. Behind the waterfall, was a fully stocked bar, and six bar seats were under the water, making it accessible while you swim.
I heard footsteps behind me as I took another deep breath, feeling my anger slowly slip away and regaining control before I smashed someones face in.
“Hey. Ignore him. He can be a real fucking asshole.” Jolie said softly as I felt her hand grip my shoulder lightly.
“Yeah, I noticed.” I said as I chuckled as looked over at her.
“Fuck them. All of them. I’ll stay here with you.” Matteo said as he walked up behind Jolie and smiled at me.
“Same.” Jolie said as she smiled at me as well. I looked over to the woman and two men standing behind her and they looked at me with a smile as they nodded as well.
“Are you sure? You guys don’t have to, really.” I said as I furrowed my eyebrows at their kind gesture.
“We aren’t staying because we feel bad, we’re staying because we want to.” The woman behind them said as she smirked and stepped forward.
“Any friend of Jolie’s is a friend of ours. I’m Harley.” She said as she held out her hand, her British accent dripping off her words. She had short blond hair and sharp features. Her brown eyes shimmered underneath the moonlight and I could tell by her relaxed and calm demeanor that she hid danger behind her beauty. She was thin and curvy, and was taller and was about 5’8, a few inches taller than me.
“This is my brother Jax,” She said as she pointed to a man behind her. He had shaggy and curly hair, it was untamed yet stylish all the same. He was lean, and toned. Tattoos were placed sporadically throughout his body, highlighting his muscular arms. He was attractive as well, sharp jawline, brown eyes, but he had a kiddish look to him… and seemed somewhat… familiar. He smirked at me as he gave me a slight nod while his arms were crossed in front of his chest. I felt like everyone in this damn Mafia had to be a model in order to join, every single member is fucking flawless.
“Nice to see you again, Blaze.” Jax said as he smirked.
Wait a fucking minute….
“You were the bartender… the night I got kidnapped?” I said to him, making him nod slightly.
“I was doing some intel for Ryder. We shut down our sex trafficking operations two years ago. Turns out James Brovonski was disobeying Ryders orders and running them behind our backs.” He explained as I saw Jolie tense slightly before she smiled.
Shut down sex trafficking? How come the CIA doesn’t have any information on this?
“I was doing some undercover work there, trying to find out where he was taking the girls. I was the one who called Ryder after I saw you leave. So thanks for leading us to ’em.” Jax said as he smiled.
“Well thanks for saving me.” I said as I memorized their faces and committed them to memory. I didn’t have my journal since I got kidnapped, but I still had the recorder in my ear. I figured I’d use this opportunity to figure out who the hell these people are.
“You guys aren’t candidates huh? I didn’t see you in training.” I asked as I tilted my head slightly.
“Nah we already passed training three years ago. We’re already assassins.” Harley shrugged as she pulled out a pack of cigarettes from her pocket. She held one out to me with a smile, and I took it immediately.
“Well, the night is young my beautiful people! What shall we do?” Jax said as he stepped forward and draped an arm around Jolie, who started to blush furiously at his touch. His voice was deep, and his thick British accent coated his words.
Harley lit the cigarette for me, before lighting her own and walking over towards the bar by the waterfall. She walked down the steps, and disappeared momentarily before YG’s BPT started to blast from the speakers installed into the walls. Jolie, Jax and Matteo started to smile as they started to sway to the music. Haley emerged from the bar underneath the waterfall with four bottles of liquor in her hands as she danced over to us with a cigarette still in her mouth.
“You know what’s fun?! Alcohol!” Haley yelled as she held the cigarette between her teeth and held the bottles up high into the air. Jax spun Jolie in a circle before he took her hand and started to pull her towards Harley. Matteo looked over at me with a smirk as he held his hand out to me.
“God I love you my dear sister!” Jax exclaimed as Jolie giggled.
“Harley I’m starting to think you have a drinking problem. This is the sixth time this week, and it’s only Wednesday!” Matteo said as he laughed.
“How can alcohol be a problem when it’s the only solution.” Harley said as she raised an eyebrow and exhaled more smoke from her mouth, making all of us laugh at her comment.
I know I probably should be training right now instead of getting hammered with a Capo, two assassins, and the sister of the Leader. But in all honest, I’ve never had anyone to drink with in general. I never had many friends, and every partner I had at the CIA always annoyed me to the point where I contemplated shooting them myself. Even though I’m trying to bring down their entire organization, and throw their asses in jail… it wouldn’t hurt if I had a little fun… right?
I smiled at Matteo mischievously before I took placed my hand in his. He smiled widely as he held my hand tightly, pulling me towards the rest of them as he faced me and walked backwards. The others were now opening all of the different kinds of alcohol.
“Blaze what are you having, whiskey or tequila?” Harley asked as she smiled at me.
“I’ll take both, because I’m classy.” I said as I smirked.
“I like your style.” Harley said as she winked at me and poured me two shots on the patio table. We all circled the table, swaying, dancing, and bobbing our heads to the beat as we raised up our glasses.
“To new friends, memories, and nights we won’t be able to remember no matter how hard we try.” I said over the music, making the other cheer beside me as we clinked our glasses and downed our shots. We kept drinking… and drinking… and drinking some more until we finished all four bottles in no time.

“Oh my god!” Harley said as she stood up from her chair rapidly, causing her to stumble over her own feet and fall head first into a bush, making us all fall over with laughter.
“We need more alcohol!” Harley said as she raised up her hand from the bush, her index finger pointed up in the air. “Like…Biblical amounts of alcohol.” She said as she rolled over on the fluffy bush, laying in it like it was a bean bag.
“Don’t worry, there’s more in the bar.” Jolie said as she laughed. She was sitting on Jax’s lap, and he had his hand rested on her thigh as he stared at her with a smile on his face.
“GRAB ALL OF IT! WE NEED EVERYTHING!” Harley screamed as she threw her head back, hitting it on the wall accidentally and making us all burst out in laughter again. Jolie stood up from Jax’s lap, and made her way behind the waterfall again, making Jax turn in his chair and face me.
“How about beer pong?” Matteo suggested as he sat down in the chair next to me.
“Too… drunk…” Harley groaned as she rubbed her head.
“We’ll play.” Jax said with enthusiasm in his voice as he stood up and smiled.
“You seem rather excited to lose, little boy.” Matteo said as he smiled and raised an eyebrow at me.
“Oh it’s fucking on, old man.” Jax said as he stuck his tongue out at Matteo, making him place his hand on his heart and gasp as if he was offended.
“I am 28 thank you very much.” Matteo said dramatically, making me laugh loudly.
“Set up the table boys.” Jolie said as she came back with a bottle and two packs of beer.
The boys quickly made a patio table into a beer pong table, moving the chairs and arranging the red solo cups into perfect triangles. I stood in front of the table and rested my hands on the stone surface, leaning forwards. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist, and Matteo’s clean and masculine scent filled my drunk senses.
“You any good?” Matteo whispered in my ear as he tightened his hold around my waist.
“The best.” I said cockily as I leaned back slightly into his chest. I was lying, I never really played before, but how hard could it be?
“Why don’t we make this a bit more interesting!” Jax called out as Jolie rested her head on his shoulder.
“STRIP BITCHES!” Harley yelled from the bush she was still sitting in. Somehow, a bottle ended up in her hands. She took a large swig, before pressing it into the bush, making half of the bottle stand up and stay in place.
“That’s a great idea. Every time someone the opposing team makes a shot, you strip off a piece of your clothing.” Matteo said as he smirked at Jax before looking down at me, who he still held in his arms as we swayed to the music.
“GET IN THE POOL!” Harley slurred as she lifted an arm in the air.
“Then losers have to jump in the pool.” Jax said as he looked over at his sister and laughed. Harley was now dancing while she remained seated within the bush, making us all look over at her and laugh loudly.
“You’re on.” I said cockily as I raised my eyebrow at them.
“Ladies first.” Matteo said as he handed me a ping pong ball, Jolie taking one in her hand as well.
Our eyes met, and we prepared to take our shots. Just as I was about to throw the ping pong ball into the cup, Matteo bumped into me roughly, making me miss completely while Jolie’s ball flew into the center cup perfectly.
“STRIP BITCH!” Jolie said as she stuck her tongue out and high fived Jax.
I looked back at Matteo with a deadly glare, and he just smiled innocently and shrugged. I took off my jacket, and tossed it onto a chair beside us. Matteo was only wearing a shirt, jeans, boots, and his underwear. So he grabbed the hem of his V-neck, and pulled it over his head, revealing his muscular body underneath. I couldn’t stop my eyes from trailing down his body, eyeing his chiseled six-pack, before looking back up to his face.
The rest of the game went by quickly due to the fact that Matteo kept ruining my shots and purposely missing his. Eventually, I was standing in a lace black bra and jeans while Matteo was in his black briefs, the outline of his massive package showing perfectly. I groaned in annoyance as Jax made the last cup, sinking it in perfectly as they smiled at us evilly.
“YOU LOSSEE MOTHERFUCKEERS!” Harley said from the bush and she threw both of her hands in the air, bitting a lit cigarette between her teeth.
“You fucker, you threw the game!” I said at Matteo in a deadly tone before I threw a punch at him. He grabbed my wrist and pivoted so he was behind me. He pulled my wrist in front of me, pressing my hand to my chest as his muscular chest pressed against my back.
“I know… it was so mean of me to make you strip, huh?” He whispered playfully in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.
“Rules are rules.” Jolie said playfully as she tilted her head slightly. The rap music died down, and High for This by the Weeknd was playing over the speakers loudly.
I exhaled deeply, before starting to undo the button of my pants with Matteo was still standing behind me. He stepped away slightly, giving me enough room to remove my jeans. I slowly started to slide the fabric down, bending forward slightly as it slid further and further down my legs. I heard Matteo’s breathing hitch and his body tense up behind me, I think I even heard a low moan come from his mouth. I stepped out of my jeans and tossed them with the pile of clothes on the chair.
I turned around to face Matteo, who’s eyes were filled with lust and desire as his eyes trailed my now exposed body, and I was grateful I wore matching underwear tonight. He took my hand, and started to lead me towards the waterfall. We quickly made our way over there, and he interlaced our fingers and held my hand tightly. I noticed that his briefs looked a bit tighter, and I couldn’t help but smirk at the reaction he had to my body.
As soon as we turned the corner and reached the stairs, we were out of view from the others. Matteo pushed me against the wall and caged me between his arms. It’s been so long since I’ve had any kind of physical contact with a man, and my inner hoe was screaming with delight, overpowering my common sense.
“God you are the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. I’ve been waiting to get you alone all damn night.” Matteo breathed as his face started to inch closer to mine. I held up my finger to his lips, and raised my eyebrow as our eyes were locked on one another.
“Sorry, I don’t give in that easily.” I whispered playfully as I ducked under his arm and ran up the stairs, making him chuckle behind me. I reached the top of the waterfall, and looked over at the group, who was staring at the door with wide eyes and open mouths.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?” I heard a familiar deep voice scream from inside the house. It’s as if my body became alive with lust and desire at the sound, the alcohol enhancing my senses. I felt like I couldn’t breath as I saw a shadow approaching the door. It rapidly flew open, cracking the glass sliding glass door from the impact.
My heart fluttered as Ryder’s grey eyes met mine. His eyes trailed down my body slowly, and his already tense body became stiffer. Even from a distance, I saw his sharp jawline clench, and his hands that were by his sides clenched into fists as his eyes continued to travel down my body. Eventually, his gaze met mine, and his grey eyes were darker than usual as his eyebrows furrowed slightly.
I was a fucking deer in headlights, just staring at him as everyone around him froze in fear. His eyes looked behind me, and him unemotional face morphed into a deep, angry scowl. I felt a pair of muscular arms wrap around my waist before I was tackled into the pool, the sound of our bodies hitting the water pierced the tension in the backyard.
Matteo kept his arms secured tightly around my waist as we emerged up to the surface of the pool. I gasped as we breached the surface, shaking my head to get my wet hair out of my face. I looked to the side while Matteo was laughing loudly with his head thrown back and his eyes closed, still holding onto my firmly. I looked to the right of us, to see Ryder standing on the edge of the pool, hovering over us with a deadly expression on his face. His chest was rapidly rising and falling as he stared at me, and then Matteo, before back to me.
“Ryder! My friend!” Harley slurred as she stood up from her bush, stumbling and kicking over the empty bottles of liquor that littered the floor. She dropped her cigarette in the process, and the bush she has been sitting on most of the night burst into flames.
“Fucking hell!” Jax exclaimed as he quickly ran over to the bush that was starting to turn into an inferno. Ryder seem unfazed by the flame, and his eyes were still locked on mine.
“Would you believe me if I told you that none of us are drunk.” Harley said as she walked away from the fire. She looked over at Jax and Jolie, who were trying to get the small fire under control.
“Hereee… I can help.” Harley slurred as she quickly grabbed a bottle of alcohol and poured it over the fire, causing it to grow larger.
“And you? Are you sober?” Ryder said, starting at me. At this point, Matteo noticed Ryder hovering over us, and immediately let go of his hold around my waist and created some distance between us.
“If I wanted to be sober, I wouldn’t have gotten drunk you fucking idiot.” I said sarcastically as I rolled my eyes, the alcohol obviously interfering with my common sense.
Ryder stared down at me, and for the first time, I clearly saw emotion on his face… and the only thing I saw was anger. Pure. Fucking. Anger. His eyebrows were furrowed deeply and a scowl was on his face. The flames from the corner illuminated him in hues of red and orange… and it was a horrifying and sexy sight.
“I’m so sick of your fucking attitude.” He growled as he bent down and roughly grabbed my arm, yanking me out of the water and pulling me towards him. I slammed against his muscular chest, and before I knew what was happening… everything was upside down, and I was thrown over his shoulder as he quickly walked inside the house.
