**Cowboys (ManxMan) **

Part One:

Bryce was tired of all the people around him. Another BBQ, he hated these things. The boss liked to host one or two a month. He hopes to keep everyone in high spirits and show the local community that the ranch is a good thing. But to Bryce, there were just too many people around. All the bodies near just made him nervous. He didn’t know why, but ever since he was little he preferred the company of animals to that of people.

Bryce decided to stick to the outskirts of the party. He didn’t think anyone would really notice his absence. Maybe he’ll take a walk around the place and see if he can find Colt.

Colt Darrenger was probably the one person he could stand to be around for any length of time, besides his mama anyway. He didn’t really know why, just that that was how it was.

While Bryce moved towards the closest gap, he couldn’t help but notice the people around him. There was a pretty hot woman that he remembered from town. At the diner? Who cares really? Then there was a guy that was flashing himself around. ‘He knows he is hot.’ Bryce thought to himself. He didn’t feel weird by the thoughts. Women point out other chicks that are hot all the time. Doesn’t mean anything for him to acknowledge someone’s good looks, even another man.

He was walking passed the hayloft when a noise drew his attention. When he turned the corner the site before him froze Bryce in his tracks. One of the ranch hands was leaning against the side of the loft with his shirt unbuttoned and his jeans open, while another man was on his knees in front of him. It was too dark to recognize the men, but the moans coming from the one standing up gave little to imagine about what they were doing.

“Uh, yea, suck it. Mmm, I’m close! YEAH! COLT!!!” The standing man groaned with release.

Bryce’s blood went cold. Colt. Not his Colt, his best and only friend. It can’t be. He couldn’t place the feelings that stirred in him with this. The man on his knees, C-Colt, stood up while the other man fixed his clothing. Colt had a tall, slim, but toned build that was matching the man previously on his knees. It was him.

“Thanks man,” He gave Colt a slap to the back and left. When Colt was about to turn his way, Bryce quickly came to his senses and hurried away from barn. He hoped Colt didn’t see him. He had to figure this out before he saw his best friend again.

Colt just finished with the hot cowboy from town. Man he loved guys. The scruff, the rough edges, and man the gravely voices, but his favorite was the low groans and moans that came with pleaser.

He was going to his place to take care of a little problem he had. Colt knew the other cowboy would not be reciprocating, but sometimes that is half the fun. As he turned around though, he caught sight of a retreating back. One of a man that was of **** average height, but with wide shoulders and stocky build. God that looks a lot like Bryce’s back. Colt felt the tight lump in his throat, and swallowed thickly. There are a lot of cowboys at this party; the back could belong to anyone. He tried his hardest to convince himself.

Colt couldn’t help worrying that the man was Bryce. Bryce Wallace was one of his closest friends, and he knew Bryce had a hard time opening up to just anybody. Why had he kept this from him? If he finds out, how will he respond? It was just one of the harder things to tell someone. Yeah, when you are looking for a quick lay it is easy to drop all the right signals, but when you care about someone, you fear rejection. That is exactly why he had not told Bryce his feelings towards men.

Most people know about him, it was never a secret. It was just something he never confirmed or denied. But with all these strapping hunky cowboys and men, well most can guess how it got around.

Colt worked harder to clear his mind on his way home. That thought made things tricky as well, because he shares a place with Bryce. Please, make the broad shouldered man not be Bryce!

When he walked into the living room, He looked to his friend taking in the dark blonde hair and copper eyes. Bryce was a good looking guy; there was never doubt about that. He couldn’t miss the panicked look on Bryce’s face however, he knew the answer.

“I-I’m going to take a shower, and I-I think we should….talk.” Colt crossed his fingers hoping Bruce would agree. He didn’t want to lose his best friend over this.

“Ok.”

Colt was home and he wants to talk. Bryce wasn’t sure if he wanted Colt to know what he had figured out on the walk back.

How could he have been so blind about it all? Now that he thought back, Colt had always been more interested in the men around them then the women trying to get his attention. It wasn’t hard to not notice the facts. Maybe he just chose to ignore them. Well that is most definitely what happened. Every time Bryce saw Colt talking and laughing with someone else, man or woman, Bryce got this feeling of anxiety, more so when it was with men. So Bryce supposed it was like a defense mechanism, just pretend Colt isn’t enjoying their company as much as he seems.

Colt finished with his shower and now they were sitting stiffly at the kitchen table. Both were unsure what to do or say about all of this.

“So I guess now you know about….” Colt started.

“I’m jealous.” Bryce blurted out, not meaning to say it quite so bluntly, but not sure how to say it any other way. He felt his face redden as Colt stared at him in disbelief.

“About…ahem…About what exactly?” Bryce noticed a look of reserved hope in his eyes, what did that mean? What would it matter to Colt if he were jealous?

“Well, I don’t know….you know…” Bryce signed, might as well get this over with. This was exactly what he was afraid to talk about. “Of all of it.”

Bryce chanced a glance towards Colt. He was opened mouthed like he wanted to say something but didn’t know what. Bryce needed to clarify then. With another deep sign, “Of you, of the attention you give the other people, men. Of what you do with the other men. T-that it’s….” He swallowed, this was hard.

“That what Bryce?” Colt asked softly.

“That…that….That it wasn’t ME!”

He face was so red, Bryce felt the blush all the way to his toes. Please don’t let Colt hate him now. Maybe Bryce never new because Colt didn’t want him to, did want him period. Friends and nothing more.

Oh man, ask him yesterday and the thought of just being friends with Colt would have been wonderful, but now, knowing what he does, having that clarity of his feelings, it hurt too much to think he could never be more.

Bryce wanted it to be him? His Bryce, the sexist, most off limits guy in his mind, was upset that Colt had not considered him? This was just…surreal. He had wanted Bryce since the moment he saw him. But after he got to know him, heard how much he kept to himself and didn’t let others in, well he couldn’t find it in himself to chance that.

Looking at Bryce, Colt could clearly see the embarrassment and fear, but also hope.

“What does this mean, Bryce?” Colt was hesitant, he wanted so much but again he did not want to risk his friendship with the man.

“I don’t know….I mean could you….do you feel anything for-for me?” Who was this guy I front of him. Bryce may not like to talk and hang around others but he never sounded insecure and unsure of himself. Goodness how could he not feel anything for him?

“Of course I do, I just don’t want anything to happen to our friendship.” Colt pleaded with his eyes, hoping he would understand that it was too important.

He started to get a little worried when Bryce’s look change from unsure to its normal confidence, but also heated. He swallowed, what has he gotten himself into?

“Nothing will change there, because you matter to me too. I think that you matter to me more than you should. That’s why I feel so close to you, why I can tolerate you when I can with no one else.” Bryce stood and moved closer to him. The nerves where high, his breathing accelerated, but Colt couldn’t stop find it in himself to protest and Bryce moved into his personal space. “Show me. Show what you do with those other guys.”

“O-Ok.”

Colt reached up and pulled Bryce’s face closer to his. Dragging their lips together, Bryce’s hat fell to the floor.

The moment they touch lips both men knew this was right, with a moan from each, they deepened the kiss. Tongues tangled and caressed. The kitchen filled with the sounds of passion and joy.

Colt came to his senses a little realizing he had to make sure Bryce was really enjoying this like he seemed. He pulled back to look into the other man’s copper eyes. What he saw shocked him. Bryce had the look of pure passion and desire. There was not even a hint of doubt in his expression.

“Can we do more?” Bryce asked looking eagerly at his best friend.

Colt chuckled, feeling light with joy. “Yes, we can do whatever you want, go as far as you want. As long as you promise it is want you want, and that well will still be friends in the morning.” At the end he gave Bryce a serious look.

“I promise.” He grabbed Colt’s hand and led him into his bedroom.

Bryce was nervous about the new experiences, but he couldn’t help but feel this was right. This was supposed to happen, and it was supposed to happen with Colt. He looked to the other man, seeing the dark hair and green eyes that had always appealed to him. Now he knew why.

He grabbed Colt and pulled him close. Bryce captured his lips and continued where they left off in the kitchen. He didn’t really know what he was doing but figured if it was wrong then Colt would tell him or just take control. Win win either way.

The kiss heated up even more, Bryce need to touch the other man so bad; he pulled Colts shirt from his tight blue jeans and shoved his hands underneath. The warm skin of the other mans back was intoxicating. He need more. Bryce ripped open his shirt and ran his hands up Colts chest. Colt must have know what he need and wanted the same because Bryce felt the chill on his skin as his shirt was also disposed of.

Colt broken of the kiss and trailed down to his neck sucking and licking, driving Bryce out of his mind. Just when he thought he could not take anymore, Colt growled and pushed Bryce roughly onto the bed.

“God I’ve wanted you so freaking bad since the moment I saw you.”

“I thought it was normal, the way I saw you; that everyone knew how hot you were. Not that I was attracted to you. But now, I don’t know how I didn’t realize it before.”

With his statement, Bryce heard a whimper sound from the man just as Colt started kissing him with renewed passion. Bryce groaned as he felt the weight of Colt’s hips on his groin. Bucking up he knew he wanted more but was unsure of what.

Colt looked in him in the eyes once more and gave him a wicked look.

“I know what you want.” He winked and slithered down Bryce’s flushed body, stopping at his jeans.

Before he knew what hit him, Colt had released him from his pants and enveloped him into his mouth. Bryce was in heaven. That had to be it. He had never experienced anything else like this in his life. When Colt swallowed and then started to move on him, Bryce knew he wouldn’t last long.

“Colt! Colt wait…I’m too close.” He pleaded. Bryce didn’t want this to end so quickly and he could already feel the tingling begin.

Colt pulled up and gave him an evil look. Bryce knew he wouldn’t win this.

“Don’t worry; we have plenty of time to do more. Later.” With the promise of a long night ahead, Colt went back to work making his best friend reach new highs and enjoying every second of it.

Part Two

Cowboys

Part Two :

Jon wiped the sweat from his brow as he placed his pick fork against the truck. Baling hay was hard work, but somebody had to feel the cows. He took a glance around, taking in the land. He loved this place. The outdoors always appealed to Jon. The sun was shining; the grass was green, flowing over hills. Visually, it was just striking.

Jon took a deep breath, preparing to get back to work, when he caught sight of Levi. Levi was another ranch hand. His dark brown locks curling from under the brim of his hat, lean frame moving smoothly. He was currently leading a resisting horse into the corral. Wait, that was the new one, he had yet to be broken. What the hell was Levi thinking?

When Levi entered the corral with the horse, Jon made his way over.

“What the hell Lev, you can’t break that horse in!” He held.

“Shut it, Jon. You know I’m the best choice with Bryce off with Colt on vacation!” Levi hollered back.

Sighing, knowing Levi was right didn’t make it any easier. If anything were to happen…shaking the thoughts from his head, he picked up his pace to the corral. They didn’t need to be yelling with all the animals around anyway.

He watched as Levi mounted the horse. The brown beast almost bucked him off before the man was fully seated. Crap. Jon’s nerves sky rocketed.

To His surprise, though Jon knew Levi wasn’t that bad, Jon watched as Levi held tight. Moving with the horse, Levi anticipated its movements and acted accordingly.

Just when Jon was starting to relax, the horse bucked left and then reared up, not allowing Levi enough time to adjust. Levi flew off the saddle, landing hard on his side. His head slamming against the ground. The beast continued to buck, back and forth, threatening to trample Levi.

Jon didn’t even think, he jumped the gate in a flash and raced to the man on the ground. Another hand saw the scene and distracted the wild horse on the other end of the coral as he made it to Levi. His hands moved to touch, shaking with fear, but he knew better than to move the other man. Covering Levis body to protect him from the horse still running around, Jon tried to assess the damage. It looked like he was fine. No blood. But one never knew, internal damage could be just as bad.

Levi moaned, opening his hazel eyes, blinking to try to clear his vision and focus. He stared up into Jon’s worried brown gaze.

“Levi?” Jon whispered. “Can you hear me?”

“Unh, y-yeah.” Levi tried to sit up.

“No stay down, Smith is getting the horse out. Tell me, you hurt bad?”

“Nah,” Levi said, trying to be strong, and then he moaned again. “Shit, yeah…my head feels like it’s gonna explode. Never even had a hang over this bad.”

“Clear Jon!” Smith yelled, allowing him to help Levi to his feet. They made it about half way when Levi yelped and started to drop again.

“Lev?!”

“My freaking knee. Shit. Shit!”

Jon grabbed Levi around the waist, pulling the man’s arm around his shoulder, supporting his weight. They made it to the barn and Jon helped him sit.

“Just let me sit for a minute, I’ll be fine.”

“Bull shit,” Smith said, seeing the way the man could hardly walk. “Called the doc,” He said looking to Jon.

Jon nodded, “Thanks man.”

“Tell me how it goes, need to head back.” Smith indicated his exit with his head and then left.

Jon was looking Levi over, assuring his safety and trying to find if anything else was hurt. Goodness knows Levi won’t tell if it does. ‘Specially if the docs coming. He wished he could use his hands…Stopping the thoughts as fast as possible, Jon took a step back. Distance, he needed distance.

“What else hurts?” Not bothering to ask ‘if’ because he knew Levi, knew he would just say nothing and be done.

“Just my head and my leg,” glaring up at Jon. He hated to admit weakness, what real man did?

>>>

The doc came and went. He indicated Levi had a slight concussion and a dislocated knee. He would need to stay off of in for a few days and not put too much stress on it after that for a couple weeks.

“You’re going home and resting.” Jon said, no nonsense.

Levi huffed but new he wouldn’t win this. Jon was too forceful when he put his mind to it. This was going to be the worst few days of Levis life. He hated to be still, needed to do something, anything, not sit on his ass all day.

Jon helped Levi into the truck and brought him home after letting the foreman know what happened and what the doc said. Jace, their foreman, put Jon in charge of making sure Levi followed the rules. They couldn’t lose him as a ranch hand for doing something stupid, like working, and damaging his leg beyond repair.

Levi had been grumbling the entire ride back, He didn’t need a babysitter. He was a grown ass man, hair on his chest and privates to boot!

Jon pulled up and got Levi out of the car, practically carrying him to the house like a damn bride.

“JON!”

Jumping at the outburst Jon looked to him in shock, “What?”

“Put. Me. Down.”

Jon blushed a little, which was odd, but put him down quickly, so Levi ignored it.

He helped Levi to the couch putting a pillow under his leg to prop it up like the doc told him and moved to the kitchen. Taking a deep breath, Jon started up the coffee pot, and went to make them lunch. He couldn’t spend the next few days this close to Levi. He could hardly make it through a work day anymore. Sighing, Jon went back to Levi, bringing the food and coffee.

“Here, eat up, you need the fuel.”

Levi glared once more but did as he was told.

>>>

They made it through the afternoon relatively ok, Levi grumbled a lot, but otherwise did what Jon said. It was getting close to bed time when Levi said something that caused Jon’s stomach to enter his throat.

“God, I freakin’ stink. How the hell am I gonna take a shower if I can’t even stand on my own?”

Levi continued griping while Jon’s mind went down the gutter. He could picture holding a naked Levi, washing his body, soap suds and water cascading down, Jon watching as it reached his…

“Jon!”

He jumped, shocked out of his fantasy, “What?” Jon said, swallowing. He could feel his blood going downward. He sat and adjusted quickly, hoping Levi didn’t notice a thing.

“I saaaid, Don’t laugh but can you run me a bath? That’d be better than a shower right? Less ‘stress.’” He said providing air quotes for end.

Jon couldn’t help the smile, he may be grumbling a lot but he was being smart. “Yeah.”

Levi was able to sit on the toilet and undress and lower himself in to the suds without Jon needing to help. Getting out all wet, proved tricky, but Levi manned it up and got it done.

Jon helped him to bed and went to sleep on the couch, though Levi said he could make it through the night without a watchman. Jon tossed and turned with images of Levi in his head, but finally fell asleep around 1am.

>>>

A loud crash followed by very elaborate curse words shocked Jon awake. He jumped up and rushed into Levi’s room to find him clutching his leg, laying on the floor. With only his boxers on.

“What happened?!” Jon asked, as he rushed to Levi’s side, keeping his eyes glued to the man’s on the floor.

“I freaking fell Einstein!”

Jon lifted Levi straight off the floor and put him on the bed, fussing over his knee and adjusting his pillows.

“Would you please just stop!” Jon jumped back when Levi yelled and smacked him across the head. “I am not freaking two! I can take care of my damn self, why do you keep acting like my mother for f*ck’s sake?!”

Jon had had it. What the hell crawled up his ass and died. He was doing his best for the man’s health and the stubborn shit couldn’t accept a little help from a friend! To think he freaking liked him! Stupid!

“You what?” Levi said, his shocked eyes looking into Jon’s. Jon swallowed thickly, had he just- had he said that out loud.

“Uh..umm…I-I…” Jon felt his face flush red; he couldn’t meet Levi’s eyes. Shit. What did he do, and how can he get himself out of it?

“Jon,” Levi said softly, “Look at me.” It took a few seconds, felt like hours really, but Jon finally made it to Levi’s eyes. “You like me? As a friend? Or…?”

Jon cleared his throat, “or…” Jon whispered, his eyes moving to the floor.

“Jon,” Levi said again, “Look at me.” Jon took a deep breath and looked to him. “I do too.”

Jon’s eyes reflected shock, “You..?”

Levi nodded, pulling Jon’s shirt to bring him closer, “Yeah.” He said right before their lips met. Levi moaned, “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted this.”

Jon groaned at the thought, “I know how long I have.”

Levi slid his tongue across Jon’s lips, sucking lightly as Jon pulled back.

Breathing heavily, Jon stopped them, “Wait, your leg. I might hurt you.”

“I don’t give a shit about the leg.” Levi growled, pulling Jon to him again. “We can be creative,” He reached down, sliding his hand across Jon abdomen and started rubbing him through Jon’s pants.

“Nngh,” Jon moaned and pushed hard into the hand. “Tease.”

“Oh, no, I’m not even close to teasing.” With that Levi started rubbing harder, thrusting his own hips with the same rhythm.

Jon took that as a hint and pulled Levi’s boxers down enough to reach his own prize. He tried to build up to the pace Levi had going, but the other man was too far gone, He started thrusting hard and fast into Jon’s hand, squeezing his own around Jon’s member.

Grunting and moaning, the men’s breathing grew shallow and harsh.

“Oh, God,”

“Yeah!”

Within moments of each other, they both release with a stuttering sigh.

Jon saved himself from collapsing on to Levi, and lay on his side. Keeping a hand on Levi, Jon’s eyes started to drift.

“I can’t believe it.” He mumbled.

“What that I like you? Or that we just did that.” Levi mused.

“Hmm, both, but also the fact I really want to f*ck you but I can’t. Finally my fantasy comes true, only to be denied that.” He sighed dramtically.

“Stupid freaking leg.” Levi stated angerly, He reached down to pull Jon’s face towards his. “You just freaking wait, babe, in a few days, you’re mine!”

Jon saw the lust in his eyes and knew he was really there, living his fantasy, with the cowboy of his dreams.
