1. Birthday Drinks
“WAKE UP, BITCH!” Iris yelled at me.
“Can you, like, not, maybe?” I told them. I swear, Iris never listens to me. I don’t even know how we manage to stay friends. Still, I love them.
“Hurry up and get dressed.” They said.
“I’m tired!” I screamed.
“That’s what you get for taking a nap mid-day.” Iris said, throwing me a button up shirt.
Tomorrow is my birthday. So why am I going out tonight? Well, when Iris and I were young, we made a pact that we would celebrate every birthday by drinking. But in recent years, I’ve come to the decision that I really hate drinking. So I decided to go out drinking the night before, just to get it out of the way.
I got up from my bed and made my way to the closet. Iris was already throwing things my way as they mumbled to themself.
“You really need to go shopping. What the fuck is this?” They held up my robotics shirt I got from when I was in college.
“Put it down! Just… get out. I’ll dress myself.”
“Perfect! Today’s been hard and I need something to laugh at.” Iris said.
“Ha ha, very funny.” I sarcastically laughed.
I entered my closet and looked around. I picked up a light pink button up and rolled up my sleeves. Black carpenter pants. And white Vans. I showered and dressed myself.
“Y’know… you actually look pretty good.” Iris said while biting their teeth.
“Shut up! Let’s get this over with.” I said. We entered the car as Iris drove us to a club. I’ve never been to this one before. It looked big, and loud. Very loud.
“Bartender! Lemme get four shots!” Iris said. I groaned, knowing already that this was going to be a long night.
“Ready! One! Two! Three!” They said. I downed the first shot and moved to the second one. The taste was disgusting. Alcohol never tasted good to me. I think people only drink alcohol because society says you need to in order to fit. In reality, it tastes so bad unless you make it taste good.
“Let’s go dance.” Iris said.
“Nah I’m good. You go have fun.” I said to them. They huffed in frustration.
“Rob, when are you going to come out of your shell? You need to loosen up. Find someone tonight. Get some dick in your system.” They said. I flicked Iris and she laughed.
“Go before I punch you.” I said.
Iris left and I sat at the bar
“Can I get a Cosmopolitan?” I asked the bartender. He nodded and went to work on my drink. I turned to see Iris dancing in the center. Iris has always been a social butterfly. We met in middle school when I saw them getting harassed at school. Since then, we’ve been friends.
We went to the same university and now live together. They work in finance at a firm and I’m a graphic designer for a tech company. We make a good amount of money but still chose to live together. Iris understands that I’m very shy but never forces me to do something I don’t want to do.
Some guy was dancing behind Iris and grabbed their waist. Iris turned and began to dance with the guy. Meanwhile I sat here playing with a loose strand on my shirt.
“Here you go.” The bartender said, placing my drink on the counter. I grabbed it and began drinking it slowly. I ate some peanuts near me.
Maybe I should listen to Iris. Maybe I just need to hookup with someone. It’s been a long time since I’ve had sex. The last time was in my junior year in college. It was some closeted straight jock on the football team. He wanted to hookup and I agreed. We did it and then told me to not tell anyone.
Now he is a successful football player. Whenever I see him on ESPN tackling people and running, I can’t help but think that he’s fucked me before.
I finished my drink and set the glass on the table. I felt a migraine coming on and placed my head in my hands.
“Hey.” A deep voice said. I chose to ignore it.
“What’s a hot guy like you doing here alone?” The guy said again. I turned my head and saw a really attractive guy next to me. He leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms over his chest. His biceps were huge and his shirt was unbuttoned at the top. I saw a glimpse of his chest.
“Leave me alone.” I said.
“Ooh. Feisty are we?” He said. He chuckled deeply which sent tingles in my chest.
I sat there, trying hard not to get hard. He was really sexy. He’s probably straight, however. He wouldn’t hook up with me.
“So, how’s your day been?” He asked. What kind of a question is that?
“Shitty.” I said. It wasn’t that bad. The only thing shitty was being at this club.
“I know something that’ll make you feel better.” Sexy guy said.
“Bartender. Let me get an amaretto sour for this sexy flower.” He said. I blushed a bit but acted like I was annoyed by him. The bartender made the drink and slid it to the guy. The guy slid it to me.
“Drink up.” He said deeply.
“Fine. But only because it’s free.” I said. I grabbed the drink and sipped it. The guy watched me, making me feel insecure.
“Tell me about yourself.” He said.
“I’m Roberto, Roberto Winter.” I said.
“Nice to meet you, Roberto Winter. I’m Tyler, Tyler August.” Hmm. Never met a Tyler before.
“What’s a guy like you doing in a place like this?” He asked.
“I’m here with a friend.” I said. “What are you doing here?” I asked him.
“Was hoping to meet someone hot.” He said.
“Well, what are you doing here talking to me?” I said. He chuckled and gulped down a shot of Tequila.
“Silly boy. You ARE that hot person.” He said while continuing to laugh. I felt my face heat up.
I was very flattered that someone as attractive as Tyler was talking to me. At this point, I forgot my bitter feelings of being here.
“Come with me.” He said. I stupidly agreed and grabbed his hand. He led me outside.
And he took me to his home.

2. Birthday Sex
If I was in a horror movie, I would be the first one to get killed. I willingly followed Tyler home, not caring to check if he was sketchy. I don’t think he is. He seems like a fun and respectful person.
We entered his home while I stood near the entrance. I took a look around while he locked the door. It looked extravagant. Paintings were hanging and the foyer had two sets of stairs on each side. A large chandelier hung from the center of the room.
“You live here?” I asked him.
“No. I broke into a random house and I’m pretending to live here.” He said, sarcasm plagued his tone.
“I’m joking.” He added.
“Right. So um, what do we do now?” I asked Tyler. He stood in front of me, watching my lips.
In an instant, Tyler leaned and began to make out with me. He started off by kissing me and cupped my face with his hands. I moaned into the kiss and he took the chance to slip his tongue into my mouth. Our tongues danced.
He bit onto my lip and brought his hands to grab my ass. I moaned again. It’s been so long since I’ve felt this kind of feeling. Our bodies were together and I felt his bulge pressing onto mine. He split us apart and grabbed my hand, dragging me up the foyer and into a large room.
Once in, our lips attached again. He began to pull off his shirt, revealing his muscular chest. He had a bit of hair on his pecs. I began to unbutton my shirt. Afterwards, we were standing, completely naked, making out. Our dicks were rubbing against each other.
Tyler threw me on the bed and climbed on top of me. He kissed me more and started leaving a trail of kisses down my body. I moaned louder as he brought his lips to my dick. He stroked me first but then sucked me. He went fast as my breathing became more ragged. I came into his mouth.
He then began to move towards me and kissed me. I tasted myself on his lips.
“Do you want this?” He asked me as he sucked on my neck.
“Mmhmm. I want this.” I said
He positioned my legs open, revealing my hole to him. He spit on his hand and rubbed his dick.
“Hey man! Put a condom on!” I said.
“If you insist.” He said. He leaned to the desk and pulled out a condom and lube. He pulled off the wrapper of the condom using his teeth. He rolled the condom onto his dick and applied a lot of lube.
“This might hurt.” He said. He brought his dick to my hole and put the tip in. A fire ignited in my core. My fingers grabbed the sheets tightly. He sunk deeper in me until he was fully in. I scratched his muscular back and moaned into his neck.
Tyler began to shift and eventually move in and out of me. Every thrust was like ecstasy. He completely filled me up. Tyler began to stroke me, which elevated my pleasure even more. I eventually came hands free, splattering my cum all over us.
“I’m coming!” He said. He pulled out of me and quickly pulled off the condom. He shifted himself close to my face and stroked himself quickly. He came on my face while he let out moans. I licked his cum off my face and then his dick which was in front of my face.
“That… was… amazing.” I sighed. My ass hurt so bad and felt empty without Tyler in me. Tyler cleaned my face and layed down behind me. I felt his huge dick pressed against my ass. We slept together in the same bed where we gave ourselves to each other.
“Goodnight, Rob.” Was the last thing Tyler said before I slept soundfully.
The morning sun rays shone into the room. Specs of who knows what danced around the room, floating with no care or worries. A glow seeped into the room, bringing with it a warmth that can only be described as home. It engrossed my bare body, providing a feeling of security and with it, a desire and need for more of it.
I stood up from the bed and almost collapsed. I quickly sat back down and rubbed my ass. It hurt so much but the pleasure I endured was worth it. I picked up my scattered clothes on the floor.
“Hey.” A deep groggy voice resonated. I turned to see Tyler lazily awake. The blanket covered his bottom area, while his muscular chest was on full display. I almost came just by the sight of him. His eyes trailed down my bare body.
“Hey. And now goodbye.” I said. I pulled on my briefs, ignoring the harsh pain.
“You can stay for breakfast if you wish. I own a nice-”
“Nope! I have to leave.” I interrupted him.
“Will I see you again.” He asked, sounding hopeful.
“Probably not. It’s a huge world.”
“And yet we found each other in a small bar.” He replied.
“Maybe next time you can top me.” He said. My dick twitched at the thought of that.
“Well, this was nice. I should really get going.”
“Goodbye, Rob.” He said sounding disappointed.
“Goodbye, Tyler.” I said before turning and leaving him, never to see him again.
I exited the room and changed outside. I walked down the stairs, once again the pain searing. I exited the house and saw just how nice it was. I turned on my phone and saw missed texts and calls from Iris. I chose to ignore them. I called an Uber to take me home. I had no idea where I was. Upon looking around, it was one of those private residential areas where rich people who don’t pay taxes live.
I entered the house and tried to be as silent as possible.
“Where the hell were you?!” Iris said. They stood at the doorframe of the kitchen, with their arms folded over their chest.
“I can explain-”
“I called you hundreds of times! I thought some guy maybe kidnapped you or murdered you. I found out from the bartender that a guy took you home! Next time, at least have the decency to- hang on!” Iris said. They approached me and grabbed my face. They turned my head and examined my neck.
“So you got dick, huh?” Iris said. I blushed, confirming her suspicions.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” I said. I pushed them aside and went to the kitchen. I needed something to help with the pain.
“How was he?” She asked.
“Really great. Probably the best dick I’ve ever had.” I said, adjusting my dick in my pants.
“Are you going to see him again?” Iris sounded interested.
“Mmm, probably not. It was great and all, but it was probably a one time thing.” I said. But I remembered that he wanted to see me again. But he’s rich, meaning that he must be in the public eye. And I don’t want to become some secret lover that Tyler wants to hide.
“What’s his name?” Iris said.
“Tyler August.” I responded.
“He sounds hot.”
“He is.”
I turned to see Iris holding a cupcake with a candle.
“Happy Birthday, Rob.” They said. I smiled and blew out the candle.
“Thanks, Iris.”
“Hey, it’s not everyday your best friend turns 25.” They said.
I would be lying if I said I didn’t want anything today. Truth is, I want to be treated like a king. It’s my special day. I want people to bow down to me and kiss my feet and offer me the most lavish gifts. But I just tell people I want nothing.
My phone began to blow up with messages wishing me a great day.
And all I could think was Tyler and the possibility of us seeing each other again in this big-small world.
3. Birthday Dinner
“I have a reservation for Winter.” Iris says to the lady at the front desk. The woman goes through her papers.
“Of course. Follow me.” She says. The restaurant is located in a higher residential area. This place was known for being for rich people. It almost reminds me of where Tyler lives.
I need to forget about him.
We head to the table, located in a secluded part of the room. It was elevated and surrounded by plants. The table had exactly 10 seats, enough for all of us. These 10 people I consider some of the best people in my life. My parents are not important. They stopped talking to me when I came out.
“How does it feel to be old?” Jessica asked me.
“Girl, I’m only one year older than you.” I retaliated.
“Jess, don’t start now.” Mikey said.
We all laughed and ordered our food.
“Sooooo, who’s paying?” Amir asked.
“I think we all should. It’s Rob’s birthday.” Iris said.
“Nu-uh, Dennis at all the bread rolls and I only had two.” Keith said.
Everyone proceeded to argue about who should pay.
“Guys, relax. I’ll pay.” I said. “But first we need dessert.” I said. Everyone agreed and we ordered a large cake. Everyone sang happy birthday to me while I just sat there wondering who to look at.
“Happy Birthday.” The waiter said.
“Thanks. You too.” I said and covered my mouth quickly. The waiter and everyone at the table laughed while I tried to pretend that nothing happened. We ate our food for a while while I turned to see my surroundings.
In the distance, I spotted someone I didn’t expect.
Standing around wearing an incredibly sexy suit was Tyler August. He stood and smiled at people walking by. His smile that entranced me. The same smile that I saw last night and this morning. He turned and caught me looking at him. A smirk was laced on his face.
“Excuse me, I’ll be right back.” I said to the table. They were arguing over how much each should pay.
I walked and made my way to where Tyler was. He simply just stood there, watching me. I wasn’t sure why he was here. Could he be spying on me? Our night before was amazing, in fact, is was the best sex I’ve ever had. Maybe I should give him a second chance. Something great could come from this.
“Well well well, look who it is. Couldn’t get enough of me?” Tyler mischievously said. I grabbed his arm and led him away, looking for a secluded spot. I found a wall that hid us.
“What are you doing here?” I asked him, looking into his brown eyes. They were laced with gold specs.
“Me? I work here. I own the place. What are you doing here?” He asked. Looking at his suit, he didn’t look like a server. And he did have an aura off him that felt very… powerful.
“I-I’m here with my friends. It’s my birthday.” I said. I looked at him and he cupped my face.
“You look dashing tonight.” He said. I decided to get the courage and ask him out. He’s a really nice guy. He treated me with respect.
“Tyler, listen. I really enjoyed our night,”
“So did I.” He said, not moving his hand away from my face.
“And I’m willing to let you have another try.”
“Really?” A hint of excitement in his voice.
“Yes. Really!”
“Perfect. Can I take you on a date after you’re done with dinner. Please.” He said.
“Fine. But you only get 2 hours.”
“I’ll do it in one hour!” He said.
“We’re almost done with dinner.” I said.
“Great! Meet me at the front entrance when you’re done. See you until then.” And he leaned down and kissed me. I kissed him back.
I left his embrace, missing his warmth. I turned and left him standing there and went back to our dinner table, wanting it to be over and having my date with Tyler.

4. Birthday Date
“Wait! Where are you going?” Iris asked. Instead of going to the car, I began to walk towards the benches at the entrance.
“Remember how I hooked up with a guy last night?” They nodded. “Well, he wants to take me on a date right now.” I said.
“Oh. Good luck then! This time, call me if you’re staying at someone else’s house.” And with that, they winked and drove away.
I went to sit on the benches, the cold on my ass mixed with the pain that was still starting to go away. I waited for five minutes before the entrance doors opened and Tyler walked out. His three-piece suit was now altered. His black jacket was gone and his sleeves were rolled up.
“You waited?” He said.
“Duh! I’m serious about giving you another chance.” I said. Tyler walked up to me and held his hand out.
“Come on, mon amour.” He said. He grabbed my hand and entangled our fingers together. He began walking away from the parking lot.
“Hold on! Where are we going?” I said, stopping in my tracks.
“There’s a park nearby. Let’s go on a walk.” He said.
“When I gave you another chance, I was expecting a dinner or go-go dancing. Not working out.” I rolled my eyes. I accepted Tyler’s walk.
We walked hand in hand through the dark park. The lampposts were on and the path and moonlight became visible to the eyes. A feeling that our future paths were clear when we were together reminded me that it was time that I began to take initiative in my own life. Worry about the present, yes. But also, plan for my future.
“When did you get into the restaurant business?” I asked Tyler.
“When I was a child. My mom taught me how to cook. I grew up wanting to cook more. I went to culinary school and once I got out, I opened a small restaurant in midtown Manhattan. It was a success and my business grew.” He said.
“You’re quite rich, aren’t ya?” I jokingly said.
“I am. But I have no one to share my money with.” He said.
“Watch out, Ty. I’m gonna ring you dry.” I said and we both laughed.
“What about you? What do you do?” He asked.
“I work for a tech company as a graphic designer. I really enjoy it. My parents didn’t approve of it, insisting I become a lawyer or surgeon.” I said.
“I’m sure they must be proud of you now.” He said.
“Nope. I haven’t spoken to them in five years. They stopped when I came out to them.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“It’s not your fault. They’re the ones who need to apologize. I’ve told myself that I will never speak to them unless they speak to me first.” I said.
It was quiet afterwards. We continued walking. Normally I would be sweating up a storm right now but the cool breeze calmed down the heat. A small stand came into view. It was an ice cream stand.
“Let’s get ice cream!” Tyler said, sounding like a child.
“It’s night time. And it’s cold. Are you sure?” I asked.
“Yes! I’ll pay.” Free food. I’m in.
Approaching the ice cream stand, I wondered why it was still out here.
“Can I get uhhhhhhhh… pistachio.” Tyler said. He turned to me.
“I’ll get bubblegum.” I said. The man gave us our ice cream.
“Seriously? Bubblegum?” Tyler asked me.
“Yes, seriously. Bubblegum is good.” He held his hands up in surrender.
We sat on a bench together, eating our ice cream. I might get a cold the next morning. But it’s worth it. Our knees touched, images of the night before flashed in my head. The pleasure I felt with Tyler.
“Can I kiss you?” Tyler asked me. I nodded. He leaned in and kissed me softly. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and I accepted it. Our kisses were covered in emotions. The good kind.
After we finished kissing, I leaned my head on his shoulders. I find it fascinating how even though I’m shy, Tyler was able to break through that barrier and make me come out of my shell. He genuinely cares for me. And it might be too early to say, but I’m falling for him.
“How’d I do? Will you let me take you on a real date?” Tyler asked me.
“Mmm, definitely.” I said, pretending as if I was thinking about it.
“Hell yeah!” He fist bumped the air and kissed me, leaning me back.
“Aren’t you very excited?” I giggled.
“You have no idea. Since I met you, I knew I wanted you in my life. You’re just so, God! I can’t even describe it. I just like being around you. I would be a fool to not take all my efforts to keep you around.” He finished his speech. I felt wanted. After years of being alone and rejected by my parents, I’ve finally found the person who truly wants me.
Our position on the bench was that of connection. His left hand was on my right thigh and my right hand was on his left thigh. Warmth seeped through us and together made the cold around us irrelevant. Breaths of warm air from our mouths turned into steam like the clouds that hover in the heavens.
“Thanks for everything.” I said.
“No problem. Anything for you.” He winked. “Wanna go home with me and… y’know…” He said rubbing my thigh with his fingers.
“Slow down, buddy. Let’s take our time.” I said.
“Whatever. But I just want to remind you, next time you’re topping.” He said, while I blushed.
“I need to get home. It’s getting late.” I said, looking at my watch.
“I shall take you home in my Range Rover carriage, my princess.”
“Quiet. Let’s go home.” I said. We got up and walked.
Right before we left the park, right underneath a lamppost which overlooked a lake, Tyler passionately kissed me.
“Oh, I forgot to say something.” He said.
“What is it?” I asked.
“ Happy Birthday .“
