“We are here gathered today to farewell a very close pack member today as they will be joining the pack in America. Sophia Kingsman” everyone clapped their hands at the sound of the name they were so proud of.

From the side of the podium emerged the 18 year old Sophia Kingsman. The talk and pride of the whole pack. She was the female chief warrior of the Silver Fern pack. She had on the usual,blue jeans,combat boots,a plain white shirt and red and white check shirt that was a bit bigger on her. On her wrist dangled a few bracelets that she got from the one of the many sports she played,  surfing included of course. Her tall tan slender fingers were adorned with rings. She had rich chestnut ash brown curly hair that fell to the her lower back in curly waves. Not only was she skilful,extremely beautiful and kind, but she was very smart too.

She made her pack proud both athletically and educationally and a lot of people told her that her parents would’ve been proud of Sophia’s success and achievements.

Sophia wore the usual smile she always did and thanked them as she made her way to the podium,to her best friend’s father and the man that she looked up to as a father figure apart from her loving uncle Steven who was the gamma of the Silver Ferns pack…

Unlike her gamma blood,Sophia’s wolf form was pure white which indicated she was a royal wolf, one with elemental powers that Sophia hadn’t yet to discover.

After Sophia gave her going away speech,some pack members cried and all bid their goodbyes for the beautiful kind teenager,who was the perfect Luna material…

Sophia’s best friend cane up to her and wrapped her arm around Sophia’s shoulder as they gazed at the sunset that evening.

“I’m gonna miss this Kyle” Sophie says shedding a few lone tears.

“I’m gonna miss this too” Kyle says wrapping his arms around Sophia who was a feet shorter than his 6’3 figure.

I’m gonna miss my best friend, Sophia thought.

Little did,Sophia know those words had double meanings. For Kyle was in love with Sophie ever since their first meeting.

If only Kyle could understand,that Sophia,never felt that way towards him.

For the first reason,she thought of Kyle as a brother and two, Sophia was simply,not into guys.

POV

I gazed out the window as the scenery changed from its widespread sea of green pine trees that made up the entirety of the forest, to the cold snow covered forest floors of Rosewood town. There were much taller more larger pine trees in these lands, but every branch was accompanied by an equal amount of white cold snow on the pine trees making the scenery look mystique yet alluring to run in at the same time.

The pack gamma of Blood moon pack had come to greet me at the airport when I got here from New Zealand.

It was silent car ride. He had a nice sleek BMW looking like one of those rich people’s cars I used to watch on the movie with Kyle.

Kyle.

I wonder how he is? I hope he’s coping well with alpha duties. Before I left,I made sure to celebrate his birthday and we had gone out that night to drink at the club.

Kyle ended up beating up some jock from my high school for trying to force themselves onto me. Benton and Andrew,two of Kyles and I’s close friends too,who were also there that night, they had to take Kyle home before he shifted and revealed our kind to the humans.

Not saying all humans don’t know about us,the ones that do,are called the Hunters. They are our worst enemies, even worse than vampires. Its been centuries since we’ve had a problem with vampires. We’ve been living in peace for centuries now so we don’t have a problem with each other.

But doesn’t mean we won’t cause a scene when they step into our territory unannounced, trust me we will make scenes so I suggest you don’t go wandering in the woods,especially when you don’t know what’s lurking in them…

I see we’ve passed by rosewood town. Just like every other small town,it had a diner.

“Would you like to drop by at the diner for a quick meal?” I shook my head politely.

“Its alright Gamma Paul, let’s just go to the pack please” I said politely and he nodded as he fasten the speed to the pack.
