Salted Heat

Logan’s athletic dreams ended abruptly after a game that left him broken, frustrated, and agonizingly aware of what his body would no longer do. At twenty-nine, he escapes to a coastal town hoping to forget the scoreboard, the stadium lights, and the pressure of expectation. What he does not expect is Rio.

Rio is a local surfer with sun-streaked hair and a grin that makes the sun jealous. As Logan watches him surf, help others on the beach, and occasionally glance his way, something unexpected happens. It is subtle at first… a pulse here, a warmth there, echoes of a responsiveness he feared was permanently dormant. But soon Logan can’t ignore how Rio’s presence makes him feel alive again.
