POV

The dripping of rain from leak from my attic roof was what woke me up as it fell on my cheek. I got outve bed,seeing it was 4 am on my worn out leather watch I’d been gifted for my 16th birthday from the nice human lady Mrs Johnson, from town where I worked as a library assistant over the summer.

I got outve my springy uncomfortable bed,but hey,who am I to complain,some people have it worse than me so I should be happy.

Today was a big day for the pack,yes,I am a werewolf and I’m an omega. I’ve never shifted in front of anyone because I’ve read in books that pure white wolves are somehow very precious wolves and being a white wolf, I had to hide that.

What was I saying? Oh right,yes,today is a very important day for my pack,our future alpha and beta are having their birthdays today and they find their mates too so yeah….

Ever since I knew what crush was,I had the biggest crush on our future beta Jaxon. He was such a handsome guy. But every thought I had of him had to be put aside cause he’d NEVER, I mean,NEVER spare me a spare glance. He was tall like the future alpha Drew, but his hair was raven black,he had a sharp jawline and the brightest blue and brown eyes I’ve seen. It was like honey and it looked golden when he was standing under the son. Like a deep sea,I just wanted to swim in it.

I tied my blonde curly hair up in the usual ponytail feeling it reach my waist. I changed into a pair of ripped jeans and a plain white Imagine Dragons band shirt. I put on a hoodie and pulled on my black frame contacts crinkling my nose when it sat irritatingly on my nose.

Even though I was an omega, I was still happy that this pack wasn’t too cruel to let me sleep outside in the cold.

I walked downstairs after brushing my teeth,and wore my old sneakers. I was the a bit taller than most she wolves in the pack. My blue eyes laid perfectly under my long lashes.

I quickly made pack breakfast and cleaned out the living room before anyone else woke up.

My heart hurt a bit when I saw Jaxon walking downstairs with a blonde girl hanging off his beefy arm.

I looked away and walked out the back door before I picked up my bicycle which had a basket in the front where I always put my school bag before I headed off to school. Upon I arriving,I smiled at my only friend in this school, Lukas.

He was mute and we usually talked over sign language known as ASL. I remembered, he was my only friend even though he was human. He stood shyly by his bike,a mountain ranger.

I signed to him with my hands. He gives me that blushing smile making me chuckle.

He signed back to me. We walked into school together.

He stops me before I entered homeroom. We had homeroom together and shared most of our classes together since we were both top A+ science students.

He signed before pulling out what I assumed were cookies in a zip lock bag. My eyes lit up like Christmas. I absolutely loved cookies made from his mum. She owned a bakery and cafe in town where me and Luke would work in when we wanted to go watch a movie or something.

“Awww thank you Luke” I said taking the bag. He could read my lips so he nodded with a shrug. I pecked his cheek watching him stiffen and I opened the bag. He was blushing as I ate my cookies.

“Do you want one?” He shook his head and we continued walking down the hallway to our first class after homeroom.

POV

The bell rang as I closed my book where I wrote down chemical reactions formulas.

Luke waited for me outside the door as we headed off to our second period.

Another familiar bell rang indicating the end of the day. I rejected Luke’s offer to hang out.

I called in sick at work,where I was a waiter at the local town’s diner since tonight I had to prepare for Drew and Jaxon’s birthday.

I rode my bike to the pack. I was pretty much in perfect shape from the cycling and being on the tracks team.

I rushed to the pack halls in the pack house where we were gonna have the evening ball party.

A few other omegas were here, I was friends with them too but not as close as I was with Luke. He send me a text while I was putting up the disco ball.

I fished my phone out from my back pocket,and checked his message.

I said before putting my phone back in my back pocket of my jeans.

The pack’s slut Beverly walked in with her friends and her eyes found mine as I finished putting up the Happy Birthday sign across the wall with a bunch of balloons.

“Well well well,if its nerdy Selena” she says digging her hand into my wrist making me wince.

“You’re truly pathetic, befriending a human. And a dumb one at that” with that she slapped me across the cheek.

My face stung as she continued talking lowly of me. Of how ugly I looked,how weak I’ll always be.

Once she felt satisfied,she left but not before turning back to speak to me.

“And don’t think I don’t know of how you look at Jaxon and Drew. Fuck off and find your own cause they’re both mine” I nodded keeping my head down.

POV

After the preparations and food was done,I had gone back to my room which was the farthest room down the hallway which had access to the attic room where I looked out stargazing from the roof of my orphanage, the place where I grew up in all my life. I’d sit outside and held the necklace that was given to me when I was born looking up at the moon. I felt….connected to it in a way,like the light it shone in my darkest places was so beautiful to me.

Getting outve my thoughts,I quickly put on the floral dress where the sleeve covered my elbows. It flowed down to my knees and hugged my curves in all the right places when I tied the belt of the dress. It had a vneck showing off a good amount of cleavage. Sara,one of the omegas, curled my hair and let it fall to my back in a waterfall braid.

She put on makeup on me and I in return did her hair cause I had NO knowledge in makeup.

“You look pretty Sel” she says with a beaming smile.

“Thanks. You look pretty too” she blushed and we put on brown leather sandals. Thank god I’d shaved.

Once we walked downstairs, we left for the party.

Everyone said in a loud unison as the future alpha and beta blew the candles.

“Thank you everyone. As alpha of this pack,I would like to call upon the boys to the podium for the coronation ceremony passing down my title to my son and heir to the alpha title,Drew Williams and the beta title to Jaxon Black” I smiled.

I saw him wearing his black tux that complimented his looks so well. His beautiful heterochromic eyes. One deep blue and the other honey brown.

And when the moon shone at its brightest,I felt this heavy scent fill my nostrils. Musky woodsy scent of fresh morning rain and pine along with cinnamon and honey.

POV

My eyes found those heterochromic eyes I’d grown to love over the years. His eyes were filled with disgust as the whole pack quietened down waiting to see who Drew and Jaxon was mated to.

Jaxon.

He walked up to me and I could hear the pack teenage girls gasping. I gulped feeling my heart race in my chest.

“This has to be some kind of joke” his deep voice says and I could feel my heart breaking and my wolf whimpered in pain.

Just like the dream,I was getting rejected.

“Please Ja-” I started to say but in return his fist met my face as I fell to the ground,my nose was bleeding now and my face hurt more than the hours of beating Beverly and her minions gave me.

“Don’t call me that!you slut!” With that he delivered a kick to my stomach when I tried to stand up.

Sara who was held back by Drew tried to get outve his hold.

“No!stop it Jaxon! Please let her go!!! Stop hurting her please!!! Please!! Stop hurting her!! Selena?!! Can you hear me?!! Sel?! Please stay awake!!”  My eyes were closing with every punch and kick he delivered to my  body. Sara’s crying pleas were in the background as the ringing in my ears took over my body.

I felt myself loosing conscious,as my body erupted in pain with every hit.

“I Jaxon Jameson Black reject you Selena Celestial Creeds as my mate,my love and my future beta of Red Moon pack” with that I lost conscious completely.

Why did these things happen to me?

POV

“How could you?!! I hate you Drew!!! “ I said pushing him away as he tried to comfort me.

Why would he do that?! Why would he stop me from saving my friend? I saw the way Selena was being brutally beaten by her mate,Jaxon.

“Sara,I’m-” I pushed him away again.

“I can’t believe you would stop me from saving my friend. She’s a girl Drew,and an omega like me. You should’ve stopped Jaxon!! She’s only 17 for Pete’s sake!” I yelled at his face. He looked like in so much pain.

“I’m sorry baby” I shook my head wiping away the tears.

“Sorry won’t fix anything Drew. I’m afraid of you” his eyes shot up at me in shock and confusion and curiosity.

“You…..would you do that too?? Would you hit me like Jaxon hit Selena?your own mate?” He stared at me shocked as he opened his mouth but closed it again.

“Sara,I-” I shook my head wiping my tears away.

“I think I wanna be alone right now” I said hugging my arms around my body.

I hear him sigh.

“Alright. I’ll give you space Sara,you can have my room and I will find somewhere else to sleep tonight” I just nodded hearing movement.

His arms wrapped around my body as he kissed my head,I leaned into his warmth.

“I’d never hurt you Sara. I even saved myself for you. I’ll try to talk some sense into Jaxon and give him some kind of brutal punishment for the way he treated Selena. No she wolf deserves that kind of treatment” I just nodded as I pushed him away.

“ I’m tired “ he just nodded as he pecked the crown of my head again.

“Alright, get some rest love” with that he walked out.

I hope Selena’s ok now.

POV

Pain. That’s all I’d felt right now.

My eyes opened a bit but every time I tried,I felt my eyelashes attached to my cheekbones.

“Shh. Be still my child” said the most soothing voice I could hear.

I felt her soft hands caress my cheek and the pain disappeared. I felt pain leaving my body like a gust of wind.

I opened my eyes now seeing a beautiful woman dressed in all white,her hair was long and as white as snow. She was the definition of drop dead gorgeous.

She smiled at me and that’s when I realized the similarities. She looked like…..me?

She had bright blue eyes that looked like magic.

“Hello Selena” she says. She had the most angelic voice I’d ever hear.

“Hello” I said as she smiled and tapped the image in the pond that I didn’t even notice was there.

I walked closer to her seeing my mate’s reflection like a movie replaying. My guess was after the beating he’d given me. He looked drunk. He had two blonde bimbo’s clinging off his arm as he stumbled into the room with them.

Just then I felt ache erupt in my lower abdomen and I knew what was going on now.

“I’m sorry this had to be the fate of you. You and no one deserved the treatment you’re receiving from your destined mate” she says and she lifted me up sitting me down by a seat that appeared.

“To begin with,my name is Celeste Luna. I am the moon goddess” I just gaped at her.

“Why do you look like me?” She gave a soft smile.

“Because I am you. You are my human body on earth hence why you take after me” i blinked once,then twice then pinched my arm.

Nope,not dreaming.

“Does that mean…” She nodded.

“Yes,that means,your the moon goddess too”
